The first room they gave us had a silverfish bug in the refrigerator, red ants on the comforter and I saw two black bugs in the bathroom. I didn't say anything, I just chalked it up to being in Florida. Then the toilet clogged and water flowed all over the bathroom. Then I went down to the check in desk and requested a new room. There wasn't one ready so we brought our luggage down to the front desk and left it there while we went to Universal. The hotel is only 5 minutes to Universal which is great and parking is free. When we got back they gave us a new room. This one was clean, the only issue was that the refrigerator didn't keep things cold. The breakfast had a big selection. The cereals were stale. But other than that they had eggs, waffles, had browns, yogurt, bananas, bagels, miffins. The gym was 3 pieces of cardio - 1 elliptical, 1 treadmill and 1 exercise bike. Overall the stay was decent, but over priced. We travel a lot and this trip I was like, let's pay more for a better quality but I didn't get that. The room and experience was comparable to other hotels I have stayed at in the area for less. It wasn't worth the extra cost. I did not use the pool, so I cannot comment on that. There was a microwave in the room which worked well. The shower did have hot water and fair water pressure. The staff was nice.
