First let me say the location was great and the price was like half of area hotels but you get what you pay for. When we got there there were no towels and we noticed refrigerator didn’t seem very cool but we did unload our cooler. Although the pictures in the advertisements look updated with flowers and lovely, they must have been very old. The carpet was dirty, the tub was old and stained. You could tell it had been updated at one point but in need of it again The outside door did not seem very secure but did lock permanently from outside. The landscaping on the boardwalk was overgrown and unkempt. The next day we did not have soap and I went to front desk and they were closed, not a good sign. The office staff were great though. When we got there it was cold in our room and would only blow cold air, the heat would not turn on. We were told that it was a heat pump and they hadn’t turned on heat yet. We were given an electric heater. Oh the bedding wasn’t the greatest, old thin blanket that was tattered and nappy and only 3 small flat pillows on a king size bed. Some of the towels seemed stained. The mattress cover was more of an old mattress pad. Amazingly I slept like a baby. Will I stay here again, probably not. This is an old hotel and only 3 floors so no elevator, they are pet friendly I believe. I hate to give bad reviews and feel like so many things could upgrade this stay. Quality, clean linens being one, vacuuming thoroughly, even a remote back
