On the positive side:
- the hotel is new, it is well located and has a nice elegant architecture;
- the rooms are comfortable and nicely designed
- it has a pleasant swimming pool
On the negative side:
- the service is messy
- the constant check of your number when you walk around the hotel creates an unpleasant police atmosphere as if all guests were suspicious
- the breakfast is a dramatic failure:disgusting coffee, orange juice with a rotten taste, chewy elastic bread, half of the order forgotten by the waiter and then replaced on his own initiative by something elseâŠ
In sum: it is a good and beautiful hotel.
But for the (very) high price paid, one would expect things to be excellent rather than good. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Letâs hope it is just a teething problemâŠ
Overall the experience was incredible from arrival to departure. There were a few areas of opportunity namely the service at La Caleta. Our server during dinner the first night seemed lost and frazzled which resulted in mediocre service. The next morning I went to breakfast and a different server was standing in a corner with his eyes fully closed that he didnât notice when we were seated. He also asked for our order twice
exquisite luxury hotel in the heart of the old city. excellent customer service, close to all, wonderful views of the pacific and the impressive City skyline
This was the best hotel to stay at in Panama City. Such a beautiful property and some of the best service I've seen in a long time. Especially poolside.
Iâd I could give this a hotel a 20/10 I would. Everything about it is exquisite. The staff and service are impeccable-everyone remembers your name. The property is absolutely incredible and they do free nightly hotel tours where they teach you about the history of the hotel and panama and the canal and then there is a folkloric dance and candle lighting. The pool is beyond perfection. All of the dining options are fantastic and you must try each one. The location is great! Walkable, history, shops, dining, history etc. I was devastated to leave.
By Far this has been the best hotel stay of my life; Pricey but worth Every Dime Spent, The Welcoming Staff, The Concierge, The Room Attendants, and The Caleta Restaurant. I donât know who the Captain of tvis establishment but these employees are to be commended. Jesus, Marilyn, Denisse and Luis in fact everyone working in the Caleta was Superb!!!
