I stayed for 2 nights in Clyde Court Hotel for a business trip. The room was very big, nice and clean, but the stay was not so pleasant, as there has been a heating problem in my room which thus was really really cold. Despite I told the front desk and a maintenance guy came, nothing had changed on the second night. On top of that, the WIFI was really poor in the room, and you only get 20 minutes free time !! Incredible nowadays.
So, I would say this hotel is very nice for a stay on a nice and warm day, if you do not need to use the WIFI !!
It's an OK hotel but is a bit dated with some investment it could be great.
The hotel entrance is impressive but still seems dated. However when we arrived in the room none of the electric worked. We had to wait to move to another room. It wouldn't have been too annoying however we did have to waste about an hour while it was sorted out as when we first called reception no one seemed to do anything, we had to wait till be got hold of a cleaner walking past the room to actually get (or seem like) someone was acting on it and helping us get it sorted and move room.
The night room service is none existent. There's a number printed in the welcome book which just rings, no matter how many times you call it. Then you call reception and they tell you to call a different number and then that just rings or they cut you off and then when you call reception and ask them to call you back as the room service number just rings they forget about it. I had the same conversation with another couple staying at the hotel who just ordered from a local take away.
The breakfast is what really saves this hotel. The guy servicing the breakfast was superb, very friendly, quick and energetic. The rest of the breakfast staff were also very attentive.
