Highly recommend
I am super pleased with my stay at Hotel Cornelisz. I didn’t realize when booking that it was only a 5 minute walk from the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseums but obviously that was a plus. Across the Main Street a short walk down is a sizeable shopping center, corner store, and though I mostly used Uber and walking for transport, there are close public transport links. Breakfast was convenient although not luxurious, it was tasty and about the same as you’ll pay at a nearby restaurant so all in all a good deal. It is a quiet street that has lots of interesting areas to explore nearby and the room itself was superb. It was clean, quite spacious, had double opening windows and amazing beds, the best sleep I can remember having recently in a hotel. 24/7 reception desk is very convenient too. I would be happy to recommend this to family and friends who visit Amsterdam!

Fantastic location on a very high end shopping street just steps from the best museums. Nice room with comfortable bed. They do have a lift and luggage can be stored for pickup after checking out. Rating would be 5 stars if the rooms had AC; it was quite warm and we needed to use the plug-in fan and crack the windows to be comfortable.

Excellent all round. Been coming hete for a few years and quality standards maintained. In a really nice quiet area close to tram stops and a short walk to restsurants and bars plus museums. Seems a very safe area.

Really enjoyed staying in this hotel. My single room was good with a fridge, safe and coffee making facilities. Room cleaned daily. The location is great walking distance to most places. Close to museums, leidesplein, vondelpark. Loved my trip to Amsterdam and had wished I'd booked an extra night 🙂

Pleasant but not comfortable stay
The hotel is well located in the museum district but there are maybe fewer places to eat and drink nearby than if you were nearer the centre. The single room was absolutely tiny and the bed uncomfortable - a very thin mattress on a narrow bed. The communal areas of the hotel such as the dining area and the lounge were well decorated. Staff were very pleasant.

The location of the hotel is at the edge of Amsterdam downtown area. It is about 35 minute walking distances, with most of sightseeing (bridges over the canals and shopping areas, not too bad). Both subway 52 and team 2 and 13 can bring you from the Central train station to be near the hotel. The only thing is that the hotel is not quite close to the Metro or tram stop. You have to walk about 5-7 minutes to either stop. The hotel itself is quite good, quiet, nice and clean. All according to what Orbits presents. I had a nice stay.

Really welcoming and friendly staff. Rooms just adequate for two, clean, well provided, well maintained and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay there.Perfect position for what we wanted to achieve during our stay. Rooms are small but we only stayed one night. Rooms are clean. Front desk is staffed 24/7 and very accommodating. Location is walkable to most locations. It’s off the Main Street so less noisy and less foot traffic. Safe area. We did not have the breakfast nor did we access the patio area
