A traditional hotel in Jaipur with amazing staff, a beautiful decor and the rooms were spacious and stunning. The roof top restaurant has a beautiful view over Jaipur and the coffee and food was brilliant
The place looks like a castle. Its very affordable. It has some very nice artwork, paintings on every floor. But the rooms are outdated. Bathrooms have the classic bucket for washing yourself and cold water. The hotel is at a dead end. So its difficult to get an uber to get there. Thats important to note. Once everyone comes back to the hotel, they lock it up at night so you cannot leave. Now this isn't a bad thing. But I would like the option to go out at 2am for a smoke if I like. Breakfast was delicious. If you do decide to stay, prepay breakfast if you can. Not horrible for a night to save money like I did. But I would suggest staying at a place with a bar. After a day of sight seeing, you'd want to have a drink and some food. No elevators and lots of floors!!!!
Just about OK. We booked the Deluxe Double Bed room but sadly we were allocated a room where the walls were damp due to leakage and the wall tiles in the bathroom were chipping off. The exhaust fan in the bathroom made a shrill noise every time you switched it on. Our first reaction upon entering the room was that we should have booked the Umaid Bhavan hotel right next to it, which is a better maintained property. Not all bad, though: The positives - helpful staff and the parathas served for breakfast are excellent, as is the masala tea. Go with moderate expectations: this is a basic, functional hotel.
Cool looking hotel. Decent pool but water too cold. Loved our balcony overlooking pool. Bed comfortable, bathroom ok, coffee and tea in room good thing. Rooftop restaurant ok, tv worked. Staff good to help with car and drivers.
A warm welcome on arrival and staff at the desk were helpful and polite and understood English. Always smiling and acommodating. Room was cleaned daily. However there was no hot water - we had hot water one day out of four. Beautiful balcony and public areas were decorated with old black and white photographs and colourful murals on walls. Lovely location and the hotel pool was clean although water was freezing. Lots of monkeys jumping around too which was wonderful.
Paid for room upfront. Told them we be arriving at 4 in morning. Arrived, no one there, then couldn't find booking. Gave us extremely poor room. No sheets, no blankets, toilet seat broken, men sleeping in corridors. Came back with blanket that looked like it was taken from dogs bed. 'Slept' on our towels.
Shame because it's a lovely building.
The staff is great! The roof-top restaurant brought us room service as my parents are seniors and couldn't climb up the stairs. My mother also misplaced her handbag and the staff found it and kept it safe till we got back.
Really good breakfast for Indian standards included in room price and decent service. Mosquitoes in the bathroom, but had our own repellent. Staff working at the reception desk should improve their English.
I put my lowest score to this hotel because of the fraud and disgraceful behaviour of the hotel's staff. Firstly the room was not consistent to the room shown on the photos. There was no TV and no wardrobe, also no balcony and no "outside" windows. We asked to change the room and we have been assured it will be done, but the next day they said it is not possible. Second time the staff tried to cheat with prices for laundry. After we received the clothes the receptionist asked us to pay double of the initial price without any reasons. After the discussion he have agreed on the initial. The last point is that I have paid for the rooms on place by cash, and later I knew the everything was already prepaid with my bank card. So I contacted hotels.com to refund the second time payment. Unfortunately I didn't get any recipient of payment from the hotel, so hotels.com request the Sajjan Niwas hotel for the confirmation. And in Sajjan Niwas they replied they didn't received the payment from us which is an absolute lie. I tried to contact with the hotel many times by myself but they never shown up. Greed and perfidious people. I do not recommend this hotel to anybody.
Nice quiet location, beautiful heritage building, wifi didn't really work. The breakfast included was very limited, the pool was pretty filthy we still had a swim though. The hotel next door has a nice restaurant
I actually had a flu with fever when i arrived and just stayed in the room for 15 hours recovering. It was large, with a bay window onto the private swimming pool and sunny courtyard. The bathroom facilities are moderate for Indian standards, funky compared to what most Americans are used to, but adequate. The neighborhood isn't fancy, but it's safe. For the price, and for adventurous travelers this is wonderful place - unbeatable stay for the price. I'll try to post some pix later.
for tgr price listed the rooms and they hotel is really good..it's well decorated and very clean..the rooms are also very nice..fir us the managers of the hotel erre an issue..they said that the breakfast is not free..so we had to call expedia and ask them to send them hotel an email saying the breakfast is free.
apart From that it was very good ..
