Definitely the worst experience I've had ever in any hotel across six continents. The credit card terminal was down when I checked in so I paid cash, but was not given a receipt, which is not uncommon for mom and pop operations. The wi-fi was not working, there was insufficient hot water for even one shower, and the room was not cleaned from the previous guest (moldy food was left in the refrigerator). I was unable to find another hotel due to the holiday, so I just accepted things since it was just for a few days. The windows looked onto an alley and there was noisy construction in the building that started before 7:00 and was still going on after 22:00. The night before I was to leave, they banged on my door demanding a second payment. When I told them I already paid, they continued to demand a second payment. When I refused, they locked me on the floor and refused to let me leave until I paid a second time for the room. I have photos, but the Hotels.com app would not let me upload them.
