No Apartment available at check in
I arrived at check in at 4h30pm only to be told that there was no apartment available for myself & my friends to check in. We had been on the road for hours driving to JNB & it was completely unacceptable that no contact had been made prior to us arriving at property to inform us that no apartment was available for us. No one seemed to care where we would go at that late time on a long weekend & we had no refund to book somewhere else. Eventually the Apex made a plan to check us into another apartment, but it took 3 hours to clean that apartment & have it ready for us to check in. We had to wait around in reception for much longer than necessary with not even an offer of a drink whilst we waited in the heat. The property has no restaurants or vending machines either. Once checked in we realised that there was no aircon or fan in the apartment. To get a fan took another couple of hours & when we got the fans, they were not working so we had to endure staying in hot stuffy apartment for 2 nights. There were also no ice trays to make ice. The only positive in apartment was the working wifi & bathroom facilities. At check in proper procedures were not even followed. I did not even have to sign in as a guest. No one once checked in on us to see if we happy after the checking in ordeal. Extremely disappointed in the service of KPMG Apartments & will NEVER recommend them to any of my clients or friends.
