Nice room, poor cust service & a deposit of 153+
Had a mixed stay; the apartment was modern, great bedroom, comfortable bed, bathroom, kitchen and living space. The only negative of the room itself was that the bins hadn’t been emptied, which felt dirty. Also, the hallways have a real lingering bin smell from the shoots but this doesn’t make its way into the rooms. In terms of location, it’s immediate surroundings are residential but there’s a few cool coffee shops on the road, Kawana centre across the road and a quiet beach within reach whilst Mooloolaba within a short drive.
The problems came with the remote late check-in process, and the quite cold, to the point and abrupt in-person customer service. We booked 2 rooms and I was arriving late due to a game, so my fiance and her friend headed to the property early where they were able to get 1 room key, for the friend, but my fiance was refused the key for our room as they needed my ID — really not the end of the world.
On arriving at the property, I realised I never received a message or email to explain how I check-in — just a message which said I will need to put a 1 $ deposit, no directions on how to do this. So I scoured around a late check-in machine and found a number, which I rang. The remote lady didn’t know most of the details and asked me to put a 154$ deposit before giving me the code for our room, not the 1$. She didn’t know what parking space I should use and there was no information when I opened the box. Next day, the receptionist had little interest.
