Beware beware.....!
We've been travelling for 2 weeks through Ireland, so we had the opportunity to have several experiences as regards accomodations.
There is the adjective "grand" in this hotel but there is nothing "grand" about it indeed!
We were greeted by a very unpleasant manager who informed us that we had to pay an extra charge of initially 20 euros, so kindly decreased to 15, because we booked a room for 4 while we have 3 kids. At this point you are certainly to think that there was nothing shocking about it... but, our last child is a baby supposed to share our room for free or to have a crib in the room for free according to the hotel policy. Supposed but not applied at all. I had no choice but to pay this extra charge and once in our room we discovered that there was only 1 real single bed for our 2 elder kids, and the other one was.... a camp bed!! As if the disappointment was not enough "grand", once in the bathroom we counted no more than 3 towels, and 3 shower gels for us 5, with the extra charge paid don't forget it!
Next morning our waiter during the breakfast was so nice and agreable that she ended clearing the table while I was still drinking coffee with some toasts waiting for me - is it useful to say that the toasts disappeared when she started clearing the table?
So, to sum up our "grand" experience at the "grand" hotel: run away and find a nice B&B or a why not a camping park!
