Not too pleased
Got there and no one was at the reception desk for 15 minutes. A worker then walked in after coming back from the market. Finally got our 2 rooms. The rooms only had swamp coolers that had dirty water in them and did not cool the room much. Could not sleep because it was too hot. Next day, we went for the breakfast that we paid with our bookings but the front desk lady alleged we did not pay. We showed our receipts but she insisted they are not shown on her computer. I told my family to leave the food and was about to leave. She only allowed us to eat because we already got some food on our plates. I was too upset to eat at this point and again showed her my receipts with breakfast. I left without eating. What happened to customers are always right? I personally would not stay there again.

The room was dirty and the machines to dry our clothes did not work. Do not believe Odalys description of there rooms and the amenities. Management does not maintain the property!

This property is not in the best location. Further, while the room was acceptable, it was not the best as the kitchen area was rather narrow and the room was not serviced the entire week that I stayed in spite of my placing the placard on the door. However, there were the standard amenities, a nice sized bed and bathroom, and a good amount of desk space. The greater issue ion that score s how cramped the space seemed as a result.

Stifling hot in the summer months
The attitude of most of the staff seemed just tolerant of their guests. The building is very badly designed for air flow, so even with the hotel supplied fan, the temperature in the room was normally 10 degrees hotter than outside. It would only cool down 5 am. Even with the room sealed off, it would heat up again during the day. No AC, of course. Very, very hot sleepless nights. I found the place cleaner than the reviews suggested, though the walls were in need of cleaning and paint. The kitchenette was nice to have. Oh, the lobby had AC, and the staff seemed to pity us as we’d leave our rooms sweaty.

Pros: Well located place, near the corner of the main Street of Old Town of Marseille. 5 min walk to the port of Marseille. Safe place which if secured with gates from the street. Quit from traffic and noises of the streets. Comfortable beds with clean sheets. Overall clean room. Friendly staff during weekend, he gave us some points of interest on arrival.
Cons: You could be bother by other guests though since their window is closed to yours. We were in the city during the heat waves and it was crazy hot in the room. I would guess about 30C degrees. We only had one cheap fan which wasn't enough. They nicely gave us a second one fan for our second night. Since you have no choice than opening your window at night to get some air, we got bit by muskitos. Our room was smaller than average. No toilet paper at arrival. No toilet kit either so make sure to have everything you might need.

Check-in was overly complicated and apparently required a credit card with raised digits on it for them to be able to reimburse me the deposit. Fortunately I had a backup card with an embossed number, but if I hadn’t they claimed they wouldn’t be able to refund me with having physical access to the card. Bizarre.

Has a reduction in services since 2017. Last year I got 6th floor room and all kitchenware. This timr of all kitchenwarem I had 1 table spoon and knife, 2 wine glasses and 3 plates. After a half day of bagging, got me a fan and an electric water kettle.

Staff were generally helpful. However, room was pretty dirty with clumps of hair on the floor. Pictures on the website do not match at all with the accommodation in any way, rooms were massive but very bare and not very comfortable. Air con non existent, definitely avoid if going in the summer. Also, check-in at 4pm? Why? Wouldn't recommend it unless proximity to the station is your ONLY requirement, even then I'd go for somewhere else!

Beware!
I woke up in the middle of the night covered in bedbug bites! I turned on the flashlight and there were bedbugs on the covers and the walls. It was terrible. I tried to take a shower only to discover that there was NO HOT WATER! The staff was understanding and friendly, but then the hotel refused to give me my money back. I didn't manage to sleep more than 2 hours in this terrible place. It was a nightmare. I spent so much time and money afterwards making sure that all of my belongings were free of the pests. I can't believe that this hotel is still in business with this kind of practice. Please beware!

Invoice and Taxes issues
The reception service was very low . I was very surprised when I have seen the bill Facture N°2.945.913.
I payed in advance 155.80 Euros by credit card, they invoice 124.64 euros and they asked me to pay 4.98 Euros as taxes. When I complain the reception responsible explain to me that the difference is hotels.com margin.

Red light street
We were greeted by ladies of the night/day and a security cage. Sharing university lodging. No airconditioning, had to ask 3 times for a fan and finally got a portable evap system that didn't work. If can get past those details it's a short walk to restaurants.

This is NOT Hotel!!!
This is not really hotel. its a students apartments. The Place of the hotel on streets that full of prost***es! Inside the "hotel" its a strong smell of glue (include rooms) - we ask to change room with better air directions.
There is no Air Conditioner at the rooms (only 1 small privet portable water conditioner - like fan). looks like its not safe to go outside of hotel at evening. No parking at "hotel" - No lobby there is no possibility to drop off luggage in front of hotel you have to find parking on streets or on public parking place and go with all your bag luggage by leg. The breakfast is very simple (we eat outside). The staff that work at night dont speak english!

Not for families
Not very family oriented and no efficient air conditioner. Staff very flip about comment on walking to cruise terminal, which was actually 13km vs 3 km.

one night
Arrived late, but I had emailed to say I would be late and told that it would not be a problem. It would appear that the night porter was asleep when we got there as w e couldn't get in. Luckily a guest arrived and let us in and the night porter appeared behind the reception desk.

Self catering in Marseille
The area is walking distance to the tourist spots, Nice, clean, safe and secure with discounted parking nearby what's not to like ;-) Supermarkets nearby. The only problem could be the initial entry instructions are not available in English yet & do your research as it doesn't open til 4p.m.

Basic hotel with kitchen
Hotel was nice, staff was friendly. They let us leave are bags until our room was ready. Neighborhood is a mix of university students and immigrants. Kitchette was nice to have but they did not include soap to clean the dishes. No noise from the street or the rest of the hotel. Would stay here again. It is about a 15 minute walk to the old part of the city and about a 10 minute walk to the port. Lots of shops, groceries stores, and restaurantes in the neighborhood.

The street & immediate area - a bit sketchy.
Room was clean, but older building. Had no privacy as our room was facing the hallway and we didn't have proper curtains so anyone passing by could see into parts of the room. The immediate area wasn't very nice, but it was walking distance to Vieux port.
