While the building was older, you could tell it had been renovated recently. The rooms were clean and very spacious.
It was directly off the freeway, which made it convenient
Front desk staff friendly but internet ok. Finishes in hotel were average and for a non-smoking room there where cigarette burns on the sheets. This was just an ok short term place to stay.
From the parking lot to the room itself the place is bad. There should be a rule that says hotels have to share how many long term tenants there are. Walking to the room dodging drug dealers and absolute crackheads should give you an idea of how your stay is going to go. Never mind the fear of your vehicle being broken into. Stay away from this place.
The lights didnât work the outlet didnât work. The tub was filthy. The comforters were stained floor was dirty bugs on the floor would never stay there again.
Nice clean non. Smoking room. Me in one room my sister in a room 2 doors down. Clean room nice shower loved the night lite. Sound proofed very well considering weâre right next to the exit. Well done.
The floors in the room turn you get black when walking on them. My shower did not drain. The exhaust int bathroom made noise for nothing, because it didn't remove and steam from the shower. The comforter and towels were stained and dirty looking. All together the place could use a deep cleansing.
It was clean and appeared recently painted, and the staff was excellent. Room had a fridge and microwave. But it needs some work, more outlets (not even enough for all the lamps). The WIFI didn't work at all during the 2 full days and nights I was there. The staff called another motel so I could use theirs in their lobby. The "breakfast" sucked.
The area isn't great, but the price is good. The building is set up to be safer than most. If they got the WIFI fixed, I'd stay there again and save money. The staff are what made the difference. Good people.
The rooms are clean and the bed are comfortable. My daughter and I usually stay here when we're visiting family. Unfortunately my last stay was due to a family emergency and was traveling alone. Due to a computer glitch while booking my room, 2 rooms were booked and charged to my account. I spoke directly to an employee at Days Inn, explained what happened, she confirmed that 2 rooms were booked but due to it being after 4, I would be charged for both. But I would need to contact the 3rd party I used for booking to see if I could cancel and be refunded the overcharge. Long story short, after multiple calls to the hotel to speak with a manager, the Days Inn refused to refund the 2nd charge. Even though it was plain to see each room was under my name with only 1 person staying and I took immediate action when it happened. I will not be staying here again, not that the loss of my occasional stay will hurt them. Days Inn in Kanawha City WV - you could have done the right thing, it was very clear what happened, but due to "policy" and "getting penalized" from the 3rd party booking agency for a late cancelation(yes that was what I was told by the lady at the front desk). Even though the "3rd party" was trying to help me get it corrected.
The second day room door re-entry was blocked, the toilet broke, inconsistent parking policy with staff, and manager refused to adjust my 3 day reservation down to 2 days. Which as odd. On top of that, the hotel had roaches, pretty sure these creatures got in my bags. Lastly, Expedia failed to help me as well. The cheap hotel experience was a nightmare.
For a reasonably priced motel, most things were fine. My wife didn't like the low toilet and the high bed.
You can't move the motel but more outside cleaning and maybe a fence would block the poor view.
