We walked in and had to leave. We did not stay the night. First, the room smelled of dirty cigarettes and there were burn marks on the bedspreads and all over the floor. One of the beds did not have sheets and the pillows were stained and had dried blood on them. We did not feel safe staying there. The floor was dirty. The furniture was chipped. It was like a scary crack hotel.
When I arrived I waited at the locked office for 20 min at 5pm. It was 30* outside and dark. There were 3 doorbell buttons with no explanation of what each was for. I rang each one and eventually called the number on the website. The phone rang and rang and rang. About 5 min later a woman came to the window and opened it, saying 'I was in the bathroom.....are you checking in?"
Hand to ring two different doorbells for person to come to the window to ask you what you want. You couldnât go into the office area when we arrived or checked out. This gave an indication of what the area was like, which wasnât good. Furniture was too big and awkward for the room. Most electric outlets werenât accessible or working. Pillows were very flat. Door seal pour and windows too as you heard all the talking, train, and traffic noises. Photos on Hotels.com looked better than in person, which that isnât a compliment. For what we were there for the location was excellent! Only good for part!
We booked this room since we could not find other accommodations on short notice. The neighboring property had people that appeared to be doing drugs in the open. The room was dark which may have been good so we couldn't see all of the left behind dirt.
When I got to town i called the office to get directions to the local. No one answered the phone after 5 attempts. When the office receptionist finally picked up, she us clearly annoyed by my question..When I got to the hotel and checked in, the first thing was the smell of the room.. no towels, no clock.. when I pulled back the top sheet there was hair on the bottom sheet... I should have slept in my car as other people there were doing!
I had to wait almost a half a hour for someone to check me in, it was a very hot day and I was checking in on a tight time line to get back to my horse show and it was two hour after start of check in time. Ones I was helped it went very smoothly. The room had every thing I needed. AC worked great, lots of hot water and good pressure. It was a very noisy place got woken up an hour before I had to get up and could hear people when I went to sleep late.
The lady working the front desk was very friendly and polite. That almost makes up for the room smelling like stale marijuana, one of the pillows having mold on it, and ants crawling all over the toilet seat when I woke up in the morning.
It in an Industrial area, rather run down. The bathroom had up to date fixtures. The room had the necessary needs, comfortable bed, microwave, refrigerator.
