Such a quaint and beautiful property just an hour away from New Orleans. Claudette was an incredible host with all the knowledge of places to eat, things to see and adventures to go on! Highly recommend if youâre looking for something off the beaten path to explore Louisiana. Breakfasts were a plus and delicious. Thanks again for an amazing stay!
I didnât know what a bed and breakfast was, I regretted booking it after finding out because I didnât feel comfortable staying in a place like that, however I changed my mind after arriving. Claudette was wonderful and very welcoming/friendly. The conversations were very easy going and pleasant. The other guests were very nice too. Would definitely recommend staying here.
from booking confirmation i was impressed with the friendliness of Claudette. the room was kept stocked and the amenities were calming and relaxing. there is great areas to sit back and relax of an evening along the Bayou. I recommend this Chateaux on the Bayou for any get away in SE Louisiana.
Beautiful home with amazing scenery. We were able to spend a relaxing evening sitting outside watching the water roll by. Claudette was so welcoming and gave us tips on great local places to visit. We appreciate the opportunity to stay in such a lovely setting.
The B&B is well located to see a lot of Louisiana's interesting things: Airboat swamptours (great!), Avery Island (Gardens and Tabasco), Oak Alley plantation, Laura plantation. Claudette is very helpfull to plan all those activities.
A beautiful place to stay and a great time. You can have a beautiful stay and enjoy awesome food. You can have the best of everything when you stay here.
Get away for my Aunt's 90th birthday. Very pleasant setting in a lovely home. Food was great. Claudette, owner, acknowledgible of the area sights & restaurants
A Chateau on the Bayou B&B is a lovely Bed & Breakfast in South Louisiana. One's first impression is that of a beautifully presented respite during one's travel! Both the outside and inside ambiance are very peaceful and comforting. The owner/hostess, Claudette is most welcoming. This B&B is in a great location for touring South Louisiana plantation homes and all things Cajun. Claudette goes the extra mile preparing a delicious breakfast for her guests! She begins baking an hour or more before her guests appear for that first cup of coffee, tea, or juice preceding breakfast. Claudette is a South Louisiana native and therefore is a wealth of information for one's touring questions! For those considering a South Louisiana holiday, A Chateau on the Bayou B&B is the perfect place from which to begin a day's tour and then return to each evening!
