On arrival the Hotel did not have our bookings and had to re book us.
The wifi for a hotel with a conference centre, can really upgrade their Wi-Fi.
In my room 3xx I had poor reception and the staff were helpful in offering me the upgraded Wi-Fi deal because I had an meeting that night. Zero reception.
Had to do an meeting wĂŹth an cellphone held to my ear...
Very close to the airport. Very kind staff: my flight was delayed and the staff helped me get me in touch with the airline company and granted me a late check-out without any extra charge. Good breakfast. The gym is well equipped.
Wonderful place! The manager Cameron was very helpful with some business we needed done with our passports and canât thank him enough for that because any business process can take awhile. ALL of the staff were kind and helpful and accommodating. Most of them work hard to do so. The breakfast was good and chef David will cook you an egg any way you like it. Eryricah was so kind as to ask me if my daughter who was sick in her room would like some brkfst taken to her room. She prepared it and I took it to her. How thoughtful!!! She did this several mornings. Also the pizza from the pizza bar was so good!
We ended up staying here a week as our business kept extending and we were very happy with our stay. When we travel through Gaborone we will definitely stay here.
Remember! If you are kind you will be treated kindly. :)
So far so good. Trying to get some business done here in Gaborone and that takes time and so we keep extending our stay and they have been very accommodating and helpful. There were a couple of glitches but each time it was taken care of immediately.
The whole staff are kind, helpful and friendly.
Also the breakfast is wonderful. From fruit to eggs cooked to order by chef at the griddle. BTW AirCon works great.
I have stayed at/visited several hotels in Gaborone, some of which might be classed as more "high end". The Travelodge compares with and often surpasses mostnof them. The rooms are large, comfortable and impeccably clean (as is the whole hotel). Dinning options are good but the real gem is the quality and friendliness of the staff throughout, from reception to housekeeping to dinning/bar staff. Clearly led by a friendly and dedicated GM. Highly recommended!
1. I asked for a 5:30am wake-up call for early morning airport drop off.
NO WAKE-UP CALL !
To me, this drops the hotel rating to 0, cause this is basic hotel service! No excuse!
2. I asked the front desk why no Wi-Fi signal.
Front desk made no effort to address the problem. Said she was going to call the supervisor but made no attempt. Too busy helping other customers that came after me.
3. Beside these 2 problems, all other services at this hotel were good.
Hope these issues can be resolved.
