Disappointing! When we booked, the photos and location are incorrect. The check-in point to the apartments is very far away. From the check-in point to Gondola One it is a 3-minute walk, from the apartment to Gondola One it is about 10-12 minutes. Very far. I feel cheated. In fact, we only stayed 3 days and rented somewhere else, so the vacation was more expensive. The address of the apartment, which looks like an old public housing project, is 434 Gore Creek Drive Vail. The electrical connections are terrible, there are extension cords everywhere. 0% convenient
Upon entry into hallway, the condo unit smelled musty and damp. Entry into condo was the same, though effort was clearly made to cover the smell with air freshener. The bathroom had visible mold growing around tile. I am sensitive to mold and was unable to stay in the condo and since the reservation wasnât refundable, I was out the money for the whole stay.
Needs attention. Toaster burns bread, refrigerator freezer our fruit and vegetables. TV are blocked for movies and Netflix. Very few cups and glasses. I had to buy paper cups. The rugs are filthy. Master bathroom toilet leaks from tank to seat. Uneven water temp for shower,
We stayed at one of the condos because we had a lot of ski equipment and clothes. The unit didnât offer the closet space since the owners had left their personal stuff in boxes filling up the closet which limited tremendously our space. The bathroom needs a complete renovation, the tub/shower didnât drain well and was very moldy and overall disgusting. Light Housekeeping was every other day, that still left the shower scummy and slippery.
On the positive side, the main office was very pleasant and the way they handle the ski equipment overnight was very convenient and we didnât have to carry it back and forth from the mountain.
