This place was closed for business when myself and another guest arrived to check-in. We had non-refundable bookings. I do not know why they advertised rooms on Expedia if they are closed. And why should I have to go through so much hassle with Expedia for my refund when I could not even check-in? Overall bad experience I hope to never repeat.
Seven of us checked in on Mon May 6 having paid in advance until Fri. May 10
The second day there 5/7, all guests were told to abruptly leave the hotel. Apparently the hotel had financial problems. We had to scarmble to find another hotel. Requested a refund PUS we were also charged twice. Hotel mgr said they would reverse the charges. Did not happen. Currently disputing sll charges via Credit Card protocol.
Rooms are dirty and dark (lighting is terrible) bathroom is substandard, water leaks from the shower on to the floors, I had to put towels just outside the shower to soak up the water. Sink doesnât drain properly, toilet doesnât flush properly (had to constantly mess with it to stop the water from running. Aside from cleaning women rest of the staff are rude and unhelpful. The advertised casino is nonexistent. Luckily they had another casino within walking distance.
Didnât have enjoy hot water to take shower, only warm water and small streams. But everything else is just perfect. Nice room and size, no bad smells , the bed is very comfortable, however the property is just in the middle of the downtown, and a bit old.
Good for sleeping, their restaurant is very nice and clean. Stuffs are really friendly!
I liked the opportunity to meet local ladies. Since the change of policy the ladies are no longer there. Business has decreased and employees are leaving. No girls means no men means no money spent means no jobs. Too bad. The taormina is now preferable
