Very disappointed
Our stay was very nice but we were very disappointed in our experience at check out. We had booked two nights and were so excited to stay there for the first time. We had to make a hard decision to check out after the first night. A bad winter storm was headed to VA. the next day and we had mountains to go over covered with ice and snow to get home. We needed to get ahead of the storm to be safe. We are in our 70’s and could not take the chance of an accident to stay one more night. The front desk instructed us to contact your company and request help with a refund. We spoke with one of your operators who asked us to hold while she contacted the hotel we were at. She came back on the phone and said the hotel manager said we were free to check out but they would do nothing to help us. When we checked out I asked to speak to the manager. He said he did not say any of that. The room was paid for by a third party credit card and that it was your company that would be the one to make a decision about helping us. He said there was nothing he could do because our credit card did not pay the hotel. We used to live in a world where people cared and would offer something in the way of help under those circumstances. We would have never cut our trip short and have lost the money for the room if we could have done anything else. We are retired and that trip was one we had looked forward to. Your phone operator offered nothing in the way of a solution.
