The Studios were difficult to find and the check-in wasnât onsite. Despite the confusion at the beginning, the room was very clean and modern. The TV wasnât working (it wasnât hooked up and I was told it wouldnât work when I checked in). I used the convenient key drop box on my way out.
We had a trip booked to South Africa before all the mess started with the Covid 19 troubles. Due to the obvious crises, our whole trip got cancelled. We managed to get refunds for all of our bookings on this trip, except this establishment. We tried phoning them with no anwers. We even had Hotels.com customer service try and get hold of them. Everytime we ask for a progress report, Hotels.com just come back with the same answer "The only time we got hold of someone, it was to a staff members that said that the manager needs to issue the refund" It has been 4 months dealing with this issue and numerous phonecalls that never get answered, i am sorry if an establishment can not find the time to get back to you on a refund request,q I personally would not even want to use their services in the future. Its such a shame some establishments lack basic customer service.
Finding check in was impossible, check on was then painful, otherwise it was a very acceptable accommodation. Clean, spacious, good value. Loved the bathroom !
Excelente localização. Para aqueles que tiverem dificuldade em localizar, o apartamento fica dentro de um pequeno shopping chamado Village Square. Estacionamento perto. Vårios restaurantes charmosos na região. Apartamento novo, super espaçoso e limpo.
We had some difficulty in locating the check in office but once we found that, it was a breeze. Breakfast was a short walk away along the shore. All in all, a very comfortable stay at a convenient location.
Always professionally welcomed and treated with respect by the team from Harbour House hotel group. I previously stayed at Le Paradis apartments managed by the same group. Rooms comfortable, clean and modern.Location perfect as its close to beaches, restaurants and shops.
A disjointed experience started with locating the reception to checkin. This was an office on the first floor of the mall where the accommodation is located on third floor accessed by one elevator then round balcony of shopping mall to another elevator accessed only by electronic key to second floor where rooms - ours 5m X 5m approx are located - also one penthouse where most brochure photos were taken giving totally false impression of property to be allocated with a decent sea view. Our room overlooked rooftops & was very noisy outside.
The room was not ready upon checkin time.
The mattress was thin & horse hair tough & carpet commercial airport style heavy service. There was a small kitchenette where we were able to make a decent capsule coffee.
The whole experience was an absolutely minimalistic room experience & the only redeeming factor being I was granted a 50% refund to compensate the quality of the accommodation which brought the Ridiculous cost factor into line with US $125.00 per night paid online for what was obviously the penthouse- which was not available. This was misrepresentation at itâs best & the listing is not honest.
All said & done the location is central to all shopping bars & restaurants & once checked in, refunded & familiarized was not too bad.
The management absolutely must rectify the listing & charge accordingly for the standard of accommodation offered.
I would not stay again under the present circumstances.
The only challenge I had was that maybe I didnât know how to switch on the hair dryer and iron because they would warm up at all. Switched them on and off Many times To to no win.
Die Rezeption ist etwas schwierig zu finden. Das Zimmer ist prima, richtig groĂes Bett und super Badezimmer. Hervorragende Lage direkt am Meer. FrĂŒhstĂŒck ist okay.
The stay was good however the room was cold, aircon did not work and no extra blankets were available. Breakfast was in another totally different area to room
I bokningsbekrÀftelsen anges ett nummer som man ska ringa 24 timmar innan för att bestÀmma incheckningstid eftersom hotellet inte har nÄgon reception. Tel.svarar sÀger att numret inte finns. Vi ringer hotels. com som inte alls vill hjÀlpa till men fÄr en mejladress som vi mejlar men fÄr aldrig nÄgot svar. Incheckningen Àr mycket svÄr att hitta, gatunumret finns inte pÄ Tomtom gps. Inte heller pÄ nÄgon byggnad. Vi fÄr frÄga oss fram. Efter en del letande i nÀrheten hittar vi incheckningen inne i ett litet köpcentrum, pÄ andra vÄningen. Och hotellrummet ligger pÄ samma plats (i ett köpcentrum) trots att det i bekrÀftelsen stÄr att det Àr pÄ olika adresser. Rummet Àr utmÀrkt. Saknade en batterilampa pÄ rummet eftersom Strömmen var borta hela kvÀllen. Elleverantören stÀnger strömmen pÄ vissa tider i vissa delar av Sydafrika eftersom det Àr elbrist och dÄ blir allting mörkt nÀr det Àr kvÀll/natt.
The check-in address wasn't clear and the assistance I received when I had to enquire about it, wasn't efficient. The Hotels.com app indicates that the check-in location differs from the property location and that it is at 81 Marine Drive. When I phoned to check other details, I was told that the check-in address is at the same address as the apartment. When we arrived there, there was no indication of where to find the apartment or check-in location. Phoned again. Reception couldn't advise me. Had to hold. Then referred to Hermanus Harbour Hotel - a different location. Drove there. Then finally referred to correct address and check-in location. When we arrived there, there was no-one at the service centre to check us in. Had to phone yet again and wait for personnel to arrive.
Apartment at very good location, neat & spacious.
Amazing property, perfect for a weekend away with all the necessary amenities. Great location as well! Only one small issue was we didnât have hot water on one of the days. Otherwise will happily go back again!
