Worst hotel ever! Advertised as a smoke free hotel but I was awakened by strong cigarette smell in room at 4am for 2 consecutive nights. Called front desk to complain but staff fell asleep and didnât pick up early in the morning. Refused my request for refund. Moved to the Salvation Army hotel next door and itâs 100 times better.
This hotel is in such a great location. Close to ladies market, temple st market, the busy TST area and yau ma tei station. Room is quite spacious but a few basic things were missing for me. Theres no fridge in the room. So having visited HK is july, coming home to a nice cold drink would be ideal but no, the water is room temp because theyre just on the table. Might not he a big deal for some, but the convenience of having a cold drink without going to 7 11 each time is what im after.
They also dont have a cupboard, but hooks on the wall instead. So i couldnt use coat hangers to hang my clothes (in private).
Biggest disappointment is the paper thin walls. I could hear my neighbour talking and they werent even that loud.
Location was fantastic, it was just a 2 min walk from the nearest airport bus stop, and walking distance to mongkok and MTR station. Compared to other hotels in YMD, it is clean and spacious.
The hotel location is great, close to all amenities and transports. However the housekeeping was extremely poor. Traces of feces were still visible on the toilet and the cups provided in the room for drinking were full of marks. Furniture and decors started to show their ages.
