We were recommended to visit Crescent City and Trees of Mystery. We decided to go during the off-season, avoid the crowds. First thing I noticed when I stepped in the hotel was the just cleaned smell. It is an older hotel; the 1 elevator is a little slow, but water pressure is great, ac/heat works, no problem with lighting/electronics. Just a note that there is a foghorn that sounds every 8 seconds. If you're a light sleeper like me, you'll hear it. As well as the creaky floors when people next door/in the hallway walk. Free breakfast gets busy but was filling; cereal, instant oatmeal, yogurt, waffles, toast, bagels, scrambles eggs, sausages, juice and coffee.
