Property was in a horrible condition with stains all over the carpets, walls, doors, fixtures, etc...a standard rental would be in better condition. Property manager didn't bother to offer an alternative advising that they'll just refund the booking. Our weekend holiday was ruined.
The room smelt badly of tobacco smoke, the TV / WiFi power points didn't work (tripped in the switchboard). I also found it odd there was no soap in the bath room other than large bottle in the shower which I assume was left by a past guest as I also assume they wouldn't supply share body wash etc.
There's room for improvement in terms of the cleanliness and the condition of the room. The fridge door was dented, and there was hair inside the fridge.
Apartment could have had more utensils for the kitchen but the two bedrooms, lounge and bathroom were more than sufficient for our 2 weeks stay. Excellent centre for access to the CBD and surrounding areas. Apartment management team were superb.
Unfortunately there were issues with giving the security deposit which made me uneasy on leaving to go to the hotel. When we arrived, the room had a lot of marks on the walls & the cleaning was pretty average. There was no milk for the supplied tea & coffee either. We were asked to meet at the office for 9:30 to deal with the security deposit issue, yet there was nobody there!
The check in procedures where officious and not enough info given about the requirements on the Expedia website so one gets a nasty surprise. After hours check in not enough information given to find the property and the key location is very inconveniently placed too low down.. The organisation who look after this property obviously are more used to foreign travellers and therefore cater to the foreign market and don't care about domestic travellers. There is a language barrier at check in as a result. Don"t expect hotel style soaps shampoos, tea coffee milk as there is none. Lack of adequate kitchen equipment for a longer term stay. The shower tray needs a good scrub as does the sink and the balcony was very dirty. Couldn't find any tourist information usually provided in hotels and appartments to tell travellors about the area, attractions, restaurants buses trains or trams. First time travellors to Melbourne would be let down. If these amenties where provided and my points rectified the actual accommodation is good. ..
I was mucking around to find the building of the room located.
I took the key with the tag from security box but there was no document to indicate the address to stay.
The tag of the key seemed to have the address but it was almost rubbed off throughout presumably finger touching by many guests.
So, I called the duty personal to obtain the address.
I strongly recommend to the manager reviewing and replace the paper insert, then check it every time before new guest arrives.
During my recent stay at IFSuite I found the apartment worlds apart a from the images displayed. The walls were painted white and displayed dirty black marks from suitcases and what I would assume were dirty hands in every room. There were stains on the walls from liquids that had either been dropped and not wiped over along the entry as well as a poor attention to detail when cleaning sink basins, as there was an orange almost rusty coloured residue from overuse. The decor was cheap artworks in foam frames, and the hand soap and shampoo and body wash supplies looked like an after thought using half used bulk sized containers which didnât feel hygienic. The balcony was also available however you wouldnât want to go outside as it was covered in dust from construction across the way. The pool was also indefinitely closed for reasons unknown, but I believe it wasnât up to code which Iâm not surprised by.
Whilst it was very close to Southern Cross Station and stores and supermarkets I will not be staying here again and would not recommend it.
Our room didnât look like it did in the photo. It could do with a decent clean and provide guests with a fresh bottle of liquid soap and shampoo for shower, not leftover ones used by previous guests. We probably wonât stay here again e wouldâve appreciated a top sheet on the bed and not just a doona. A pancake would provide more comfort than the supplies pillows
