Hidden away from the hustle and bustling of Savannah streets with Forsyth Park only 2 blocks away. Rich in it's history and original decor. Our host was gracious and informative. Looking for that old world charm Printmaker's Inn is a must stay!!
We loved our stay at the Printmaker's Inn! Pete, the owner, was very proactive and had our room ready for a much earlier than expected check-in. He was very informative of everything we needed to know about the property and the city, and the hotel's site he shared had tons of recommendations. Pete made sure to meet us early in our stay and check that everything was up to par. We even got to spend time with his and the family's wonderful dog! The space was very secure, and it felt like taking a step back in time, but with all the modern amenities you could want. The courtyard in back was beautiful and well-maintained, and parking wasn't an issue. The cost is definitely higher than what some nice chain hotels around town might charge, but it is well-worth the few extra dollars to enjoy a more private and truly unique stay in this historic city.
Overall, the Printmaker's Inn had all the charm we hoped for in Savannah and then some, and its location is perfect for exploring all that the city has to offer. We can't recommend this place highly enough to friends and family and look forward to staying again whenever we next make it to Savannah!
It was like a home away from home- bedroom with sitting area , bath and separate full kitchen. Beautiful yard with iron gate to sit outside safely at night , complimentary wine and water, family owners very helpful with pointing things out on maps for us, I highly recommend this property. Loved the Henry Suite.,
I loved the room it was so historical and very unique. The only complaint i have is the poster bed was a bit high for someone who has short legs and had to pull the chair over to climb into the bed. Maybe placing a step stool under the bed might help. Thank you for the stay it was wonderful.
We spent a lovely Valentine's weekend in Savannah, at the Printmakers Inn. The inn is split between 2 houses, a colonial one, and next door, one from the late 1790s. Our room was in the most recent one. We stayed in the Lt Galloway room, a large, bright, and comfortable room. We really enjoyed the historic feel! Pete, our host, was charming and attentive to our needs. The place itself is very close to Forsyth Park and walking distance from the historic part of town. Savannah is very touristy and we had a difficult time finding restaurants with openings for dinner. If you are planning to eat at a specific restaurant ,especially one recommended online, it is best to reserve before you leave for your trip!
This historic property is two blocks west of Forsyth Park in the Victorian neighborhood (historic district south). The street is quiet, and the room and private bath were large and comfortable. Peter is a wonderful host and lives on the property with his wife and two children. He is available whenever you might need him.
I liked everything about the stay. Owners were so nice and accomadating. I enjoy old houses and appreciate their architecture. Great location and reasonable.
It was an upstairs suite and walking up those steps with luggage was something! Room had everything necessary and was very clean. Wi-Fi was poor with the signal dropping every once in a while. Did have a smart TV but only a few over-the-air channels.
Perfect Historic downtown location for a great way
Itâs the perfect location in the historic area of Savannah. We stayed here for the womenâs marathon. It was easily accessible to walk downtown, we rented bikes from Savannah on wheels, making our city touring even more fun. The place was quiet and clean, the kitchen was a nice surprise with coffee and waters left for us. Pete, the owner was just a text away if we needed anything.
Stay was pleasant and from the moment we arrived Pete was there and was very welcoming and provide us with great recommendations to go around the town. Loved the originality of the house and its centralized location to everything!!
We stayed in the Nichols Suite and it was spectacular! We were there for our wedding and couldnât have had a better place! Th we getting ready pictures were limitless. The owner Peter was very responsive and accommodating. Would recommend this for any future brides as well as all of my friends and family. Absolutely beautiful!
The neighborhood was in fitting with the Printmakers House. The parking was spacious and the entry system was the best. The suite was decorated in the period of the house and the bed was most comfortable.
Location, for two able seniors, was a little far from the city central to walk on a very warm day. Found it better to use the Trolly Service and hop on and off facility.
Pete met us at check in and gave us lay of the land. Itâs far enough away to sleep well and close enough to walk to the action! If you love history, itâs a sensory experience to stay on a historic property like this while visiting.
