Great Location, Friendly Staff, but Some Room Limitations
The hotel’s location is excellent, just a 5-10 minute walk from the Chicago station, making it very convenient to explore the city. One of the highlights of my stay was the front desk staff – they were incredibly kind, helpful, and always available to assist. Another nice touch was the infused water in the lobby, which saved me from having to purchase bottled water during my stay.
However, there are a few things future guests should be aware of. If you book the Queen room, know that it’s very small and there is no mini-fridge, which can be inconvenient. I also wish I had known in advance that they don’t provide daily housekeeping unless you specifically request it. This means no fresh towels or washcloths, trash is not emptied, and you have to ask for additional amenities like soap or shower gel if they run out. For someone staying four nights like I did, it meant collecting a pile of wet towels and having to manage full trash bins by the end of my stay. While the staff was always happy to help when I asked for new towels or more shower gel, sometimes requests were forgotten, which added to the inconvenience.
Overall, it’s a great hotel in terms of location and staff, but the lack of housekeeping and small room size are worth considering, especially for longer stays.
