The Harrogate Farmers Market takes place on Cambridge Street on the second Thursday of every month. The stalls remain open until 4 pm, but we recommend arriving in time for lunch before the shelves start to empty.

The story of Hales Bar begins in the early 18th century, when Harrogate emerged as a leading spa town in Britain. As the town’s oldest pub, it has retained many of its original features, such as wooden roof beams and a gas-lit saloon bar. You’ll see British classics like giant Yorkshire puddings and freshly prepared sandwiches on the menu. Drinks include international lagers, cocktails and a range of locally brewed real ales.
Please bear in mind that Hales Bar is closed from Mondays to Wednesdays. You might want to book your table in advance to avoid disappointment, especially if you want to dine in the restored Vaults Bar.
