Heritage Tram highlights
The Heritage Trams include a fleet of restored historic trams and modern low-floor trams for efficient transport. The iconic Heritage Trams are more than 80 years old and have been restored to optimal operating conditions to provide visitor tours of the coastline.
All types of tours are available, depending on the season. You can take Promenade and Coastal Tours to see the Fylde Coast and the countryside and Blackpool’s most famous landmarks. During the holiday season, the Heritage Trams offer Illuminations Tours, which take place during Blackpool’s annual Illuminations lights festival to get a unique vantage point on the festivities.
Good to know when visiting Heritage Tram
Most of the Heritage Trams tours are available on bank holidays, weekends, and during the Illuminations festival. Most tours depart from the Heritage Tram Stop at North Pier and Tower, near the Tourist Information Centre in Festival House, but you can catch a tram at Heritage Tram Tours stops between Pleasure Beach and North Pier.
Illuminations tours only run during the festival, which falls in September. These tours are intended to showcase the spectacular light shows, so they operate every evening during the festival, except for the Christmas and New Year periods.
