The first room we had, the bathroom fan was not working properly- the staff immediately switched our room for us. The 2nd room was nice, however the desk chair was broken. They advertised a continental breakfast but when I went over to get coffee at 7am, the front door was locked and another guest had already rang the bell and no one came.
Wir haben das Zimmer wechseln mĂŒssen, weil die TĂŒr und ein Fenster nicht abzuschlieĂen waren. Man tauschte ungern.
Really, it was immaculate. For an early 60 Cancellationâs motel, they really made a silk purse out of a sowâs ear with a couple of outstanding renovations. Clearly they care about best foot forward.
We didn't stay. Our stuff was in the room for two hours, we went to eat, and we left. The room had an odd odor, and it was advertised as an ocean view room. It/they are not.
I thought it was ok- it works for the night. But if youâre staying several nights this isnât the most comfortable. The bathrooms are tiny and only have showers unfortunately. There is no ocean view, only a parking lot view. The beds were fine, we didnât really partake in breakfast. The fireplace was nice and used it all night long. There is no spa or hot tub either. If that stuff is important to you than I would look elsewhere
Upon arrival, my front a bathroom window was open. It was 55 degrees outside. I couldnât find the remote for the electric fireplace heater, but did locate the controls on the side. There was a 1, 2 and 4 hour setting. I turned it on for 4 hours with no idea what the temperature was set at. After an hour, the noisy thing shut off. I was under the covers and figured it had hit the temp and would turn on again when the temp went down. Nope. At midnight, 2, 4 and 6am I woke up shivering because it had turned off, never staying on for the 4 hours I set it for. No extra blanket in the room either.
I am just under 5â2â and had a hard time fitting in the shower. I could touch the ceiling and when I washed, my elbows kept hitting the sides of the walls. The shower head was barely high enough for me to go under.
Cleanliness was a 9. Some stray hairs around. Bed was comfy. Pillows were lumpy but layer 3 and it was ok.
I travel here once a month. I have stayed away from this hotel due to its rating but the last couple of months have been 10âs so I have it a shot. I should have listened to the overall rating.
Kind staff, very welcoming and helpful. Easy check-in process. Room was just as described. Centrally located & ample parking were nice too. Itâs relatively close to the street so there was a small bit of traffic noise but itâs negligible during the night. Perfect inexpensive 2-night getaway spot for me on a solo trip.
I reserved the suite and it was great. I loved the window shades that have great scenes. Nice and light Continental breakfast included with extended hours 7.30 to 10.30. I would recommend this to anyone.
This is my second time staying at the Baymont. This time was better than the first. The main pro is that it's one of the most affordable stays in Fort Bragg.
We were comfortable and felt safe during our stay.
You can tell it was recently "refreshed" but the updates were done really sloppy. The toilet was not bolted onto the floor tight enough and wobbled. The shower handle wasn't installed properly and was also jiggly, but worked.
Heat worked well including the baseboard electric heater and the fake fireplace wall heater.
My main complaint regarding cleanliness is the state of the floors. They were extremely grimey and left your feet black. You can tell everyone wears their shoes inside and nobody has mopped in a while, if at all.
The beds were stiff but servicable. I would appreciate thicker blankets as the coast does get cold.
Breakfast was better than expected and stocked with a decent selection of quick eats.
Internet worked fine.
I would stay here again if needed but don't expect a luxury experience.
Hotels.com charged me for the stay then the hotel charged me so I paid twice for one night stay. Called the hotel and they said they will call me back never did and gave all my info to hotels.com and no refund still either
The rooms were clean check in was easy. There wwre several people fighting outside and nothing was really dontle to stop it. We heard yelling a lot. But thats the people staying there not the hotel. Location was good
