This Hampton Inn location is a newer facility, with Hampton's newer interior-design themes. Super spacious inside, perhaps a bit too much (someone's gotta pay for the grandeur of the atrium and lobby). The quality and variety of breakfast is typical/standard for Hampton, i.e. it's what's expected across the chain but not significantly more. The room and bedding are comfortable.
A couple notes for those considering this hotel that in retrospect I should've taken note of:
- The hotel is located west of the runway. The planes take off heading west, so the engine sounds come through the walls and windows. I think the hotel owners rightly specified sound-reducing material in the windows and walls, but there's only so much noise that can be dampened.
- The airport shuttle only runs until 10:30pm. My flight landed around 11pm and I took a taxi. The cab driver understandably wasn't happy about the short distance of the ride, and I had a tense exchange with him about the fare (he kept changing the fare). I'm a fan of the Hampton and have stayed at multiple airport Hamptons over the years. This is the first Hampton I've experienced that caps their airport-shuttle hours. If your flight gets in later at night, just have a plan for getting to the hotel, maybe a ride-share. In retrospect, the hours for the shuttle were appropriate listed on the hotels.com and Hilton websites, so again, I take responsibility for my situation, but the hotel's policy is "unique", and not in a good way.
