The hotel is centrally located in downtown Portland and they have valet service parking so you donât have to worry about your car. We arrived to our room and there was an odor eater present with open windows. The sink leaked. We purchased the breakfast package, but were leaving at 8am for the airport. When we got to breakfast at 7, no one was at the take out counter. A server came over, but said weâd be unable to get anything out of the fridge section or anything from the latte machine because no one would be there to ring us up. We ordered some fruit to go and a coffee, wasting most of our breakfast credit. It was a fine hotel, but not worth the $300 we paid for it.
Pricey, old, great service, friendly helpful staff
It was a lovely venue, however, rather old and felt cramped for the price. Considering the cost of the room, I was shocked that we needed to pay extra for internet service. The staff was great and I was allowed to continue to work on the computer after checking out as I needed to stay for family that still had obligations.
Hotel was under construction during my stay, so there were closed off areas and some construction dust, etc. However the very friendly and helpful staff made up for it with outstanding service. They went above and beyond to take care of me.
The stay itself was fine. But first the system double booked us and we had to get that straightened out. Then, your elevators are terrible for people with balance issues. Which is usually fine but your stairs are not easy to navigate. Then the transparency of all the charges was not clear. The room was great but I thought we would have a view from the description on the website. The bed and room was great. We drive up to Portman and stay a lot, but I would debate whether I would stay again.
