Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were surprised to find no mention of ongoing renovations on either the hotel’s website or the third-party booking site. Accessing the front of the hotel with a vehicle was quite challenging due to extensive construction work taking place. The check-in process was relatively smooth, but upon reaching our room, which was advertised as having two double beds with a full ocean view, we discovered that we had been assigned a room with double beds overlooking the pool and only a partial view of the ocean. I returned to the front desk to address this discrepancy, but despite presenting evidence of my reservation, they refused to accommodate my request for the room I had paid for, leaving me with no option but to accept the situation. Upon inspecting the room, as I typically do in hotels, I found trash and candy under the beds, and the toilet leaked water onto the floor every time it was flushed. The curtains appeared to have been soiled, and the mechanism for opening and closing them was carelessly placed on the air conditioner. Additionally, the constant construction noise disrupted any hope of peace during our stay, which was one of the primary reasons for our visit. The hotel’s layout posed a significant safety concern, as there was only one entrance and exit, raising alarms about potential fire hazards.
