Pool closed for repairs during this stay.
I stay here every year for convention. Good location clean in need of a little modernizing.
I do recommend for a stay in this area that's walkable and had good service.
Stay was very enjoyable. Check-in was painless and professional. Teela ( Teaka?) was a very gracious host and extremely helpful for directions and suggestions of restaurants and venues in the area.
Single drawback was the train traffic that passed through during the night. Four times and extremely loud. Glad we didnât have to get up early!đ
Inaccurate description for many things. Pool is not open - hasnât been since hurricane according to sign on the door. The hotel website states pool is available. No onsite bar. Web says rooftop bar! Had 3 different rooms in 4 nights. First night door to room wouldnât lock. Second night toilet flooded bathroom. Curtains were moldy and dirty at bottom. When toilet flooded we were given a mop and bucket as if we should clean up. No maintenance person on staff in evenings. Check in took 40 minutes because a new hire was there alone. She quit before our stay ended. Website describes downtown Augusta as beautiful. Not accurate.
Staff was very helpful very accommodating definitely will be looking forward to doing another stay in the future thank you for everything y'all do even had the convenience of putting a refrigerator in my room for my infant thank you she is only 7 weeks old and his breastfed so keeping the fresh milk pumped chilled was very very convenient like
Leaving the unfortunate problem the city had to deal with this weekend with hurricane Helene touching land and making disasters⊠the hotel is terrible and really should be inspected by official authorities and Expedia should really look into not offering this hotel as an option any longer: no elevators working, guests need to enter the rooms through the service door which is absolutely outdoor with very little security and control. There is no personnel receiving in the front. The parking is terrible. With respect to the rooms I believe they are with the same furtiniture and infrastructure since the inception of the hotel who knows since when, the TVs are small and very old with a system that barely works, the AC are noisy and old, the carpets arenât so clean and the bathrooms are antique. The common area is completely limited, the pool area (that got destroyed after the hurricane) but before that it was basically abandoned (in a time of the dread thatâs still warm enough for usage). Conditions overall: probably one of the worst hotels I have been in all my life. I believe this hotel needs either an investment of around 3 to 4 million USD for proper renovation or basically bring it down and begin a new construction.
