There was no parking, the only parking at the place was valet only and you had to pay, otherwise you had to ride around and find a spot on the street. Breakfast was suppose to be till 9:30, in which it was all cleaned up and gone by 9:10. The a/c didnât work in the room, set on 60 for 2 days but never got colder than 76, had to run the box fan that was supplied.
Everyone was so nice. A big plus, the room had a box fan. If you sleep with a fan this was a welcome surprise. The room was very comfortable and the hotel was well maintained
The building is wonderful. The hotel staff is great! The rooms are dated and the hotel is a bit run down but they are renovating so it will be beautiful.
Excellent place to stay with awesome history and a beautiful exterior but right at a park and a significant amount of homeless people about lowering the safety level. Guys running the Valet were top notch and deserve to get some accolades. Bar and restaurant closed on Sunday so unable to review. Room and hallways on 3rd floor need some love but for most part weâre good for folks that like older hotels with spirit.
Dirty, old, stinky, noisy hotel. Room was smelling like an old wet basement. Available parking is only valet, and coats $38 per night. Hotel doesn't worth the price you pay.
Please note that all your rooms need to be upgraded. I cannot believe we stayed three nights in a room where as we showered the water ran all over the bathroom floor.
I gave you a two
All of the staff was very friendly, room was clean. It was interesting being a historic building. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, but everything else was great. I had a very early morning doctor's appointment, so I did not get to try the breakfast.
Carpet in the room was dirty. The couch creaked by every movement. Room wasn't cleaned, had to ask to clean the room myself the next day. Wifi was out for a whole day, I came from overseas, so Wifi was the most important way for communication. I had to use my mobile internet which cost me a lot of money.
Breakfast from 6.30 to 9.30 am, come on now, in a weekend where there is a festival ?
Most hotels offer breakfast till 10.30 or 11.00 am. Having lunch in the hotel restaurant was not possible cause it opens at 5 pm.
Room looked more like staying in a 2 star hotel.
The money your hotel charged was too much and I will not recommend it to anybody else.
Such a beautiful historical building and the staff was so friendly and the breakfast was delicious!! Everything felt so clean. We definitely want to come back!
Charming and historic hotel. Dex and Josh gave exceptional customer care. Location to concert venue and train station was perfect. Definitely my go to when I visit Birmingham again.
