The staff were lovely but one lift was broke and the other one was tiny... the decor could do with a good tidy up and the bathroom although clean looks like it could do with some work on the bath and the ceiling...apart from outdated furniture and decor a nice hotel for a night and the price.
Very Outdated, Not enough signage to point you in the right direction, 2no lifts one was out of order the other was like something out of a horror film. My room's door didn't shut properly you had to make sure the catch locked otherwise anyone could of joined me.
All in all it felt very fawlty towers-esque.
The Strathdon is a lovely little hotel, it is dated but it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were a little uncomfortable, the mattresses are definiety in need of replacing.
The only downside and no fault of the hotel is the church bell ringing on a Sunday morning. We were woken by the chimming at 7:40am and again at gone 9am.
Super friendly staff. However the hotel is in dire need of refurbishing. Poor air and water quality in rooms which tend to carry al the noises from adjacent rooms, also above.
Hotel is a little tired, but the staff were very friendly and helpful, things were clean, breakfast was very good. Excellent value compared to other central Nottingham hotels.Would stay there again, at this price.
Old fashioned style, but has everything you should need for a short trip. Great location near to town centre.
Please allow the radiators to be controlled in the room tho as it was very warm!!
Special shout out to the reception staff tho who were very friendly (and professional without being stuffy!)
