Location: Hotel has a good location, though bear in mind it is far away from the People's Palace (Ceaucescu's house). What you see in the picture is a different building. Food: There aren't many restaurants around to eat, so if you don't have a car no point staying here. Breakfast: it was ok, very repetitive but you had quite a few options, including very stale cereals. Parking: Parking is free but small (maybe 10 cars), yet safe as it is locked at night. Room location: If you stay at the back of the hotel (above parking lot) insist you are moved on the other side. The neighbor has literally 5 dogs that barked all night. Service: We asked to be moved to a room as there was a VERY strong odor reminding us of a gas leak in the room. We were told “two of our staff checked the room and it is fine”. The smell is actually sewage. The toilet and the bathtub share the same pipe (you can hear water making noise in the tub when you flush) and hence gases go up the bathtub. Not sure if it was only our room. Overall experience: for the price, it would have been decent. For the fact that dogs barked and the room smelt bad and staff didn’t bother doing anything although there were 4 cars in the parking lot and probably 10 people in the hotel, I would say avoid it. There is a brand new competitor’s hotel (it has a bird’s name starting with I) next to it.
