Handy Hotel - often stay here - good for transport into town with Central Line and BR station next door. Free parking- big bonus. Breakfast is a bit limited- they should try and emulate IBIS hotelâs breakfast.
We have stayed here many times in rooms on all floors. This time was Room 114, the air conditioning was not effective at all and despite trying to adjust the temperature lower it never got below 25°C. We tried with window open, that was worse, so we gave up and put up with the discomfort. We had a night from Hell. When I mentioned it to reception they said the air conditioning should have been working well, well it wasn't.
Hotel was tired but for the price canât complain, perfect for Wembley Stadium.
Hair dryer set on fire when we used it but the staff didnât seem overly bothered and just said âit will be okââŠ.not great!
Stayed over one night. First impressions count. The railing on the front wall needs repairing.
The ground floor reception/bar/dining area has had a face lift but is looking tired. Lift up to the room floors was fine if a little slow.
The rooms are tired, antiquated shower/bath. Needs retiling. Only one hand towel and one bath towel for a couples room. Window did not fully seal in room so outside noise of planes/trains/traffic filled the room. Bedding had red stains washed in multiple times, the mattress had coffee/tea ring stains. The fire evacuation plan on the room door had the former brand owner (Ramada) lazily covered over. Luckily no signs of pests.
Eating in the restaraunt was fine. Reception gave a coupon out for 10% discount for eating with them in the evening. Service was a little slow as the bar tender was serving guesting in both the bar and restaurant. Second pint of strongbow dark fruits cider was served in a Guinness pint glass.
Hadnât booked breakfast in the room price. But decided to give breakfast a chance in the morning. We were handed a menu for hot breakfast. The continental buffet was lacking for items. Hot food came out promptly.
Overall the stay wasnât the greatest. There are budget chains with a better offering to guests at a similar price range. If you can look past the place showing its aging deterioration, then for short stays like weekends, it isnât the worst. But there is definitely a lot of room for improvement
Locatie was goed, voor een verblijf en activiteiten aan de rand van Londen. Hotel was degelijk, schoon, alleen een douche in bad. Restaurant was degelijk, ontbijt prima en een goede pub in het hotel.
this was our 2nd stay and we find the hotel good value for money, the rooms are big decor is fine, clean and we even had a brand new carpet in the room this time round. Twinnings Tea, coffee and milk is provided along with a kettle. Car park is secure and only ÂŁ10 for as long as you stay there. In our case it was 2 nights. the reception and bar area is nicely decorated. Also the location is great, being so near to the underground central line into london is so handy.
