We really enjoyed this hotel. We took our twin baby boys on their first trip away and it was so easy. The 2 beds in the family room made it so effortless. The breakfast was fantastic, being vegetarian, breakfast can always be bland for us in hotels but the options were some of the best weâve had and they tasted so fresh. Weâll be coming back, even if itâs just for the breakfast.
Great views from this hotel, excellent food and the staff did a great job during Covid. The hotel is a bit difficult to find in the dark and could have a better sign post
We had a lovely stay. The staff were efficient and very friendly. The food was excellent and the room very comfortable. Location was superb. Would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely stay room lovely although sheet on bed was a big small so moved in the night which was uncomfortable at times
Staff from the time we arrive until we left weâre lovely nothing was too much for them
Food is of high quality Every meal we had we enjoyed
Beautifully positioned watching the comings and goingâs of the harbour
Felt safe and very comfortable ..food and stafff excellect ...room very clean and cleaned daily .lovely veiws perfect location ...garden lovely for coffee .etc...going agsin .early next year ..
Really friendly, helpful staff. Decor in need of a bit of TLC, but considering the present economic climate, this is not unexpected. Our room, which was double aspect, had the most beautiful views. The bathroom was large. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was very good. We used the bistro one evening and food was very tasty.
The hotel has great views but is a ten minute drive out of Poole which is not that obvious when booking. Service was great and the bar and restaurant offered great places to eat and relax. The room was spacious with brilliant views but it was a bit dusty and the curtains had definitely seen better days with some stains that looked like blood on them??? TV wasnât working either which we werenât told about. Great place for an overnight stay but shame there arenât more walks on doorstep. After a long drive the last thing you want is to have to get in the car again for amenities. Very peaceful stop though and the views do make up for it.
Great location with wonderful views, seemed clean enough throughout the hotel. Staff were really struggling with the new table service rules brought in. Had to chase for a drink everytime we wanted another one, as did most of the other customers.Staff not looking to see empty glasses and being proactive. Also had dinner in the bar and after waiting an hour and a half from first ordering chased the staff who informed us the kitchen thought we had had our meal. Again none of the staff on duty thought to check themselves why 2 customers were sat waiting so long. Spoilt what was a really nice break as weather was amazing for us to sit and enjoy
We were more impressed with this Hotel than many others we have stayed in. It was a very spacious room, well cleaned for us.
We however did not witness any cleaning of communal areas during our stay.
Breakfast was slow to arrive probably due to low staffing, however the staff were friendly and the Breakfast was very nice.
Overall a good Hotel which we would choose to stay in again.
Excellent position on Marina but property is tired although I believe there is planning for redevelopment of the site in the future which would explain the condition of the property. For a stay with a dog perfectly acceptable accommodation.
Our two night stay at Salterns was most enjoyable, the rooms were comfortable and clean with all the amenities we needed.Noise carried a little bit,but that's due to the floorboards and the building structure. The position is good and close to many places of interest.
Thanks everyone on the staff.....we would come again, may l add it was also very Covid aware and we'll organized.
Stayed for one night it was pleasant and the room was clean and comfortable and they very kindly upgraded us to a sea view room. We arrived at 1.30p.m and it was raining and we couldnât check in until 2pm so as not much to do on a rainy day in area had to sit outside in car and wait for check in. Bar staff were friendly but other staff a bit formal in other areas.
The room was large and had good sea views.
The evening meal and breakfast was excellent.
The staff were polite and helpful.
Not far from Sandbanks but quieter.
The hotel is in a perfect location with wonderful views across the harbour.. But beware of the infestation of flies.. We had too move rooms from 202 because of flies in the room. No applogies or recompense!!!!
