The hotel advertises full kitchen, yet it has nothing. No dining table, no cookware, no silverware, no dishes, no rags nor cleaning supplies. The sofa bed was horribly uncomfortable. The remote was broken. The lamp was broken. The bedding is cheap.The bathroom had dirty walls. The coffee maker doesn't work properly, may be the cheapest on the market.The hallways were dirty. The place strongly needs maintenance and a thorough cleaning. The beds are in a closed room in the back; so I had to sleep on the sofa bed if I wanted to wake up to the ocean and sunrise. There is no sliding doors, just a heavy glass door that you can't leave open. On a positive note, the location is great, the staff is courteous and the price was fair (off season). I would never pay full summer price for this hotel.

Nous avons été vraiment déçus par l'hôtel, sur photos tout semblait parfait mais à notre arrivé, il manquait des ustensiles, grille-pain, etc. La toilette bougeait et le couvercle de la toilette était taché, il y avait de la moisissure dans le bain, le robinet du bain était brisé. Le divan dans le salon était tellement sal que nous avons mis des draps dessus pour le couvrir. Il y a avait constamment du bruit, nous entendions nos voisins de chambre comme s'ils étaient dans notre chambre. Que dire des sirènes de pompiers et des avions qui nous donnaient l'impression parfois de circuler dans notre chambre. Honnêtement j'aimerais obtenir un remboursement partiel pour tous ces inconvénients. On nous a promis la visite d'un plombier la première journée pour régler les troubles dans la salle bain mais personne n'ait venu de la semaine.

When we arrive to check in the parking was terrible from the start. It was 16 spaces to accommodate 16 rooms (terrible) So it was 5 adults on this stay and 1 came from a different location so they drove. Now we got to go find parking for their car and couldn't pay for an extra parking pass at our hotel. Then as I'm checking in there's another family talking how disappointed they was and felt catfish by the appearance of the hotel and their beds was nasty. And the lady checking me in is just staring at me watching my reaction and all I can say is hope my room isn't nasty. So I get to my room after getting off this tiny little heat box they call an elevator that holds maybe 3 people. Everything appears to be fine. Beds, bathroom, and refrigerator seems good. And then later on that night the one thing I did not check and evidently the housekeeper didn't either...The sofa bed!!! I pulled out the bed and there was bloody sheets on the pull out with chips and other trash in the bed. On top of that I was told to come to the front desk and pick up some clean sheets to change the bed. I'm so confused because I came here as a guest onvacation and now you want me to do the job your housekeeper didn't do. There was no management on duty. I was told hell be there first thing in the morning. And I still haven't been able to talk to a manager. I will NEVER stay at The Marjec Suites again and wouldn't refer anyone else to stay as well.

Unfortunately, Not great at all. Our door didn’t have a bolt, pullout bed was horrible, bathroom faucet was broken, safe was broken, sheets were stained, TV didn’t work, smelled like weed the entire time. Pool looked gross. Took a trip to target to buy blankets, we were not going to use the ones on bed. Would never stay there ever again especially with kids. Way too expensive and not worth the money at all! It should be called a motel and not suites. We left a day early, couldn’t stay another night there. Not a fan of the hotel or Virginia Beach and never going back.

The stay was okay. There was a puddle of water in the hallway from another room’s AC (photo attached). I told the front desk (who were super nice), and they offered another room, but it had a bad smell, so we stayed in the first one. They gave us towels to use as a mat inside our room. Average experience overall.

Old outdated hotel ! Small elevator and only one, they also use that during checkout time. And throws dirty laundry on it and keep the guests from using it for about two hour spans. Beds are not comfortable not updated at all. Tv are not updated . Will never stay again this hotel was awful

This place was a huge disappointment. When we arrived, there was hair on the bed and on the sink and toilet in the bathroom. We asked them to clean the room, and while they might’ve taken the hair off the bed, they left the same stained sheets and didn’t touch the bathroom. We even had to request a shower curtain as it wasn’t there to begin with. The room itself was not clean. Sand was all over the floor, the balcony glass and mirrors were covered in fingerprints, and everything just felt grimy. The whole building is really outdated and poorly maintained. The hallway leading to our room smelled strongly of pee. We ended up buying Clorox wipes to give everything a once over before we felt comfortable even using the bathroom. While the room had a kitchenette, there weren’t any pots, pans, utensils, or even cups …so it wasn’t very usable. On top of all that, they charged us a surprise $15 per day “resort fee” when we checked in. Despite the money we paid everything felt like the lowest quality possible. Don’t trust the photos online they’re very misleading. We won’t be coming back.

I spent a week here, the very ew is amazing!! Some of the guest were very loud and it was heard from my room clear as day. Housekeeping was attentive the first couple of days but after that I was on my own. No trash removal or cleaning of any kind was done during the week. Sort of disappointed. The night stand was listing so badly you couldn’t put anything on it or it would have slid off. Overall I enjoyed my stay, the balcony overlooking the ocean was the highlight of my stay. The staff was very friendly and greeted me every time I walked in.

Inadequate parking, terrible customer service. I informed the manager about dirty towels and wash cloths in my room and she did nothing. One morning their staff banged on my door to tell me I had to move my car, when the night shift guy told me that I could park in that space. Parking was very tight and limited. I wouldn't stay here again if they paid me to.

The photos online are deceptive. The room is very small. Our phone didn’t work. Outlet covers were missing from receptacles. The smell of pot was so strong in our room from people all over getting high that it was concerning to say the least. The only redeeming factor of the hotel was the staff and their friendliness and willingness to communicate. Although this stay was affordable it was by far not worth the cost savings for the propensity to have a contact buzz, the insanely uncomfortable pull out bed, the insane bug issue on the balcony from the lights and bugs, the seriously small outdoor pool, the cramped quarters for a family stay and the fridge door with the hinges on the wrong side so that no one could open a fridge without rearranging a room. Kids couldn’t use their Nintendo ds with the tv because of no availability of grounded outlets anywhere near the tv.

Never ever again. First they charged us more than what our receipt said we would be charged. We had 4 people in the room and everytime you needed a roll of toilet paper. You needed to ask for one they would only give you one at a time. The towels were dirty. Looked like they had poop stains on some of them. Then when we checked out they charged me another $50 because they found a cigarette in the room. Yes, I smoke. But I did not smoke in the room. Not to mention the whole place smelled like marijuana. I don’t think our neighbors across the hallway ever left. It smelled very bad! This is our second time staying there. Never again. They charged me for something I did not do. Complete crooks.

The room was ok with a decent view. The balcony has such a slant that it feels like you're going forward and the pvc pipes they call railing, will not stop you from falling. The elevator frequently gets held up which wouldnt be a problem unless you're on the 7th floor. The staff is friendly until you leave. You will be charged for smoking regardless of the entire hotel smelling of cigarettes and marijuana. We don't even smoke and we take pride in the fact that we quit nearly 2 years ago to, but to insult us in such a way... we were overcharged when we arrived and were told that we had to take it up with Expedia. Thanks to speedy service from Hotels.com, our issue was resolved. We will not be using this place for our annual trip to Va Beach. We don't appreciate being charged for no reason and insulted at the same time. To make it worse, we cleaned the room during our stay, alleviating the staff from having to do it.
