Very hot in Mexico this time of year, but we had a wonderful time. The whole hotel resort was very air-conditioned in our rooms. The pool was a bit warm, but it was beautiful. We had a good time.
Gorgeous setting. Great stay. It was, however, FREEZING in our room and the thermostat didnât work. It was literally 63 degrees. Other than that, loved it and will be back!
Casa Dorada is a prime location since it is on the beach and very close to the city center. However, I believe Casa Dorada caters to white Americans more than any other demographic that visits Cabo San Lucas. When we first got there they let me know that I put my reservation under 1 person when there were actually 3 of us. It was truly my bad, this was originally supposed to be a solo trip but I wanted to invite friends along since the room had 2 beds. At check in, I tried to update the number of guests and Hotels.com would not allow it. We ended up having to pay extra which was a bummer. The front desk had no empathy for us, never tried to negotiate with us, did not try to help us or come up with an alternative solution for us. I realize I made a mistake but I wanted to see if there were other options or some sort of compromise and they were very cold towards me. The workers by the pool and front entrance were very kind and very nice but this hotel does NOT value customer service. I would say we are pretty spoiled in the U.S with great customer service and hospitality but this hotel did not really care about us and did not want to work with us. Unless you are a big spender, I donât believe they care to be kind to you and respect you. Many places in Cabo we found that since we were not white Americans (we are Mexican American and definitely not white passing) that we were treated differently than the white Americans around us on vacation. Itâs very unfortunate.
If you're looking for a beachfront resort with spacious, high-quality accommodations, attentive service, and a vibrant Cabo experience, Casa Dorada is an outstanding choice. It offers resort-level perks without the constraints of an all-inclusive packageâand gives you easy access to authentic local cuisine and nightlife.
Very run down rooms. Needs renovation. No hot water in shower. Sometimes room lights wouldnât turn off and had to call front desk. Only upside is itâs close to many great restaurants and the marina.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and nice view. The hotel service was basic. Not spectacular. Food was subpar. Drinks are watered down. Pool area is nice. Club across from the hotel blocks beach view. Location is good near marina and bars. Nice view to the famous archâs. Very average experience but not bad for the price. A better stay if you have a family with kids. Not so much for adults only. Noisy through the day from Mangos club. Next time we still stay en Corazon resort and spa.
The property is conveniently located on Medano beach. Itâs a very walkable location . The prices have gotten really high on everything from coffee to cocktails and meals , I mean really crazy high prices for Mexico , prices higher than you would pay at a beach resort in California
