This is the first time in two years I make a critical comment about a hotel I have stayed in Dubai. The entrance was undergoing works and visitors had to go through a little door on the side leading to a dirty service corridor.
The corridors on the 6th floor where I was staying had pieces of paper and plastic on the carpet.
What was the most disappointing was the breakfast: food such as scrambled eggs and sausages were oily and seemed exposed for too long. The breakfast room was dark and drab. The selection of food for breakfast was small. Coffee was basically ditchwater and one had to pay extra for cappucino and expresso, generally available for free at most 3 or 4 star hotels after paying the breakfast fee.
Bed mattresses were soft and not very ergonomic for the back. The supposed king-sized bed was in fact two beds side-by-side.Half of the machines at the gym were not working and there was no personnel available there to check them out.
The swimming pool was pleasant though...
