We would definitely recommend the Groveside. Hosts friendly and helpful. Everything was to a high standard...cleanliness, breakfast. 5 minute walk to the shops and sea-front. Free parking on site. Intimate garden with tables and chairs. Buses go to lots of local places including Exeter and Lyme Regis. Local pubthe Swan , good food and ambiance. If you can get to Topsham, there's a restaurant called The Galley which we would highly recommend.
Andy & Sarah are very welcoming and you feel you have known them a long time. Our room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was relaxed and food very good. We would have no hesitation to use them again.
A long weekend away in Sidmouth and was delighted to stay at Groveside Guest House. The host is friendly and helpful. I plan to stay here again if I re visit the area. Walking distance to good restaurants and seafront (see photos)
My trip was one of several I have made over the years. Have stayed in a number of establishments. Groveside Guest House is excellent value for money. Sarah and Andy are extremely helpful and friendly. Service is good. Everything is spotless and very well maintained. Delicious breakfast. Only 15 minutes walk into the town and not much further to the esplanade. Great cinema nearby too with some very good films for a bargain price. which includes a hot drink and a biscuit. These films are shown twice a week, once a day. Other good films are shown seperately. Plenty of buses run past Groveside . Exeter, Honiton, Seaton and several other destinations are covered. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this guest house. Parking is good also.
We stayed the night as a stop over to break up a long journey. The off street car park was great, and the owners very friendly and helpful. The room was a great size and very clean. A short walk from the beach and shops so a great location.
No complaints room fine , breakfast fine only complaint which was my fault did not ask were room was we needed a ground floor room due to wifeâs heart condition
Great location with a short walk through town to the beach. The room included everything we needed for our one night stay- towels, hairdryer, tea tray, tv etc. The furniture/decor was dated and not to our taste but the room was very clean :)
We stayed at this B&B in Sidmouth for 2 nights, the last weekend in August 18. We had a room on the top floor, which had lovely views of the park and gardens behind.Good location- we could walk through the park to the centre and sea front. Our hosts were welcoming, the room was clean and fresh and the breakfast good.
it was okay but not exceptional. Breakfast was good. Our room was a little on the small side but comfortable.and very clean. As far as we were concerned the down side was lack of anywhere to place your own toilet gear and no mat in the base of the shower.
