The site was closed by the DOH. Our cancelation was very inconvenient, but honestly, if the DOH stepped in you can bet the offence was not the first and the situation must be bad. Very hard to rate a site that isn't even permitted to operate.
Hotel was closed when I got there, did not even get a courtesy call or email to let me know that my family and I would have to make other arrangements. University Innâs management offers a poor customer service experience at best.
When we arrived to check in, we found that the hotel was CLOSED.
It had been closed for 10 days.
It had been closed by the health department for "sanitary" reasons, according to signs posted on the door.
We called Expedia & will get a credit in key cash, but had to pay out of pocket at a different hotel at 5:30 pm.
Expedia said the hotel had not notified them of this closure.
Only good thing about this stay was the amazing staff- the check in clerk was in a very tough spot as the hotel over booked and two of our rooms were dropped - she helped us get a 2nd room after a room left early. The maintainance gentlman bustted butt and made us comfortable with bringing extra bed. Kids were running wild well after midnight - no enforcement of quiet hours!
There was no mattress pad and when we asked for one, they didnât know what we were talking about. Also no soap and no coffee setup refresh in the room and when we asked for those, they said they would take care of it but never did. As a no brand hotel, it definitely lacked the amenities that even low budget hotels would normally provide.
