Lovely area for cocktail hour with bright windows. Outdoor porch has water view. Since it was our first time here, I should have been more particular about our room choice. Our room did not match picture and was quite small. Shower stall quite tiny. Noise from road was loud. These things could have been avoided with better planning on our part. Other options might have met our needs better.
Iâve driven by with my family hundreds of times and always wondered what it was like inside and got the opportunity to see during a short ski trip. The hotel is a 140 year old gem that has an extremely friendly staff. Iâll be back again for sure.
2-ply TP would be nice. In-room, or even on-floor, coffee would have been appreciated. There was no in-room temperature adjustment capability, no microwave, and no TV in the room. The room was quiet. The bed mattress was "hilly". There were sufficient bedside power outlets. The sitting area chairs were quite comfortable. Lighting was good. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub was nice.
This historic property is beautifully restored/maintained. The staff is excellent and friendly, the spaces are charming and lovely. We had a third floor suite with a view of the bay and a comfortable king size bed. The charm of the inn includes the decorating, the food, the hospitality, the location, and even some quirkiness like the historic elevator.
We loved it all.
Stafford's Bayview Inn is the only place my wife and I choose to stay at in Petoskey. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has excellent food. The best-selling feature of the Inn is the elevator. My wife and I love it. Hold on when it starts. What a hoot!
The Staff ** Bobby Jo & Corey are "the" best... Cookies on our pillows... fabulous breakfasts... deelish late afternoon Hors d' oeuvres & cocktails ...!! FOUR STARS for sure..
