Overall, the hotel is good. It is clean and comfortable, the facilities are good. The price is attractive but when I used Expedia to book the hotel, I had to pay more RM10 for the tourist tax, that is unreasonable.
During check out the staff was not friendly and was on middle of phone chatting while I was standing in-front of him.. Feel very disappointed when I have to wait for more than half an hour just for housekeeping to confirm for my release..
Another incident I left my satin cloth and have to wait for more than an hour just to get my cloth and have to fill up form to get the cloth.
What is lacking are the essentials like :
1. Iron
2. Micro oven or toaster
3. Pots and pans
4. Gas.
In the previous stay, I was provided with all the above as part of the service-apartment package.
Plus - Good location: quiet neighbourhood with easy access to town and other tourist attractions. Small grocery store is situated in the same building for stocking up on supplies. Quick checking in and out at the front desk. There are a number of good staff there - friendly and attentive. But there are also a number of stuck-ups there as well.
Minus - Sparsely furnished (unlike the ones shown in the pictures). Cleaners didn't do a good job making up the rooms. Parking is not free, even for guests. It is made worse if one is to enter and exit the parking garage multiple times in a day because it is on a per entry basis. No convenient ramps to assist the elderly and those physically challenged. Housekeeping personnel cannot take and fulfil multiple requests. Multiple calls had to be made to get iron, ironing board, and hair dryer to be sent to the room. The refrigerator doesn't work, and no attempts were made to get it fixed even after informing the front desk twice. We quit asking after those 2 times. Their practice is to "ignore the guest, and eventually the guest will quit asking; hence, solving the problem." A day's worth of groceries went bad because of the fridge. Thanks to those at the front desk.
