It was too cold in this hotel, the heater started at 5 pm and stopped around 9 pm. And then from 6 am until 9 or 10 am, so it wasn't enough for this kind of room in a this kind of hotel with bad insullation, only a simple glass window. The maximum temperature was 14°C. I sleept with pullover !!!
And particulary in the shower room with only 12 to 14 °C
I will never be in this hotel.
Very friendly staff throughout our 2night visit
Clean rooms throughout the building, only ate breakfast here on this visit and it was delicious, we were a little late for dinner on our first night but delivery takeaway was recommended using the Wrexham Eats app, cheaper than the well known apps.
All the team are good guys. Stayed a few times but each time does get worse. Staff on reception good. Breakfast team are good apart from expected sourdough bacon roll and had brioche, sesame bun which was weird. Generally been ok but tiring a little. Lots of dust in room, remote dirty, kettle wouldnât use and cobwebs. Shower mould not looking good around seals. Needs some tlc.
We loved our overnight stay here. Our room was clean and comfortable with a good shower. You have to carry your suitcase upstairs, we didnât mind but just giving others the heads up. The staff were friendly and helpful. Itâs a good location, just walking distance to the town centre. We can recommend
Stated here over Christmas when visiting Wrexham for the football, beautiful old building, breakfast was AMAZING I understand why people rave about the restaurant which we sadly didn't visit - only downside was our room was like a sauna even in December because it was a tiny room the radiators felt suffocating so we had to sleep with the window open (even my husband whose always cold complained it was to hot) but thankfully the hotel is on a quiet road
