We chose this hotel because it looked so nice in pictures and the reviews were good, but we were disappointed.
The check in and lobby were fine, but it got worse after because our building looked like a motel needing renovations. No elevator to go to our 3rd floor room, just a thin rusty metal outside staircase and not large enough to cross another person. Each outside corridors were maidens of broken tiles of ceramic, what’s dangerous. Inside the room it didn’t look like the pictures. The door wasn’t closing properly, the frame was cracked and dirty. The washroom looked old and the floor was dirty with rust from a leak. The mattresses on the bed weren’t flat at all. That’s not acceptable for this type of hotel. We walked back to the reception and explained that we were disappointed, but they said they didn’t have anything similar but in good condition left. It turned out that they did have a room for us to upgrade to for an extra cost. This room looked much better and renovated.
When we left to go to the airport, we did the check out at the reception with a survey to fill out. I gave them an 8 as we were disappointed about the initial room, but everything else was fine. The receptionist asked why only an 8 and we’re pestering us to give them a 10. They wouldn’t let us leave until we would give them a 10. He made us speak to the manager and ended up blaming us for booking the room we initially had, so it wasn’t their fault that we had to upggade. Really disappointed!!!!
