We would like to share our feedback from our recent 8-day stay at Hyatt Regency Chennai. The level of service exceeded our expectations, and the staff truly embodied the 5-star quality of your brand.
From the beginning, we were impressed by the warmth and efficiency of the porters and bellmen who greeted us. Their speed in assisting with our luggage before check-in set a positive tone for our stay. The security screeners at the front gate were diligent while maintaining a welcoming smile, ensuring we felt safe from the moment we arrived.
Weâd like to particularly acknowledge a few exceptional staff members:
Rajini, Vijay, and Daniel: Assisted with luggage during arrival and departure, making the process smooth.
Mukesh at the front desk: His prompt assistance at 3:30 AM to confirm our flight departure time alleviated our anxiety.
At the restaurant:
Anand: Always ensured we felt at home, attentively meeting our needs.
Soni: Her joyful and attentive service was delightful.
Mukund, Biblak, Chittu, and another gentleman: Their excellent service and friendly demeanor enhanced our dining experience.

We were also pleased with the seamless airport transfer. A special thank you to the team for the thoughtful dessert on our last morning, which made our departure even more memorable.

During our stay we enjoyed the services provided by the hotel. All the staff were very humble,welcoming and polite. We also went to the spa and we enjoyed the services over there. Rini and Levis from spa gave us an excellent treatment of massage therapy. We would highly recommend this hotel and spa for our family and friends. Thank you.
I booked this hotel solely because of the photos of the relaxing pool area and so much needed r&r at the end of two weeks in India. I was never made aware at time of booking - false advertising on Hotels.com as well by not stating the pool is closed and there is massive construction going on.
Upon check-in, also no mention of pool closure. Front desk clerk only addressed my husband, not me, even though my name was on the booking. She even came back saying to him, âI canât find your booking sirâ even though I handed passports with mine on top and open saying âthe reservation's in my nameâ. She just if ignored me. I had to redirect her again; obviously she found the booking. She then offered my husband a paid upgrade without even making eye contact with me. The whole encounter was sexist and frustrating. Because I booked and paid externally, she refused to take a credit card for incidentals and said we must pay directly after any food/service and emptied our mini bar. We are now hit with multiple charges for foreign transactions vs paying one bill at the end.
We were looking for the pool our next day and went into the spa to ask. The lady was confused and informed us of the closure/construction. We were obviously disappointed as were werenât aware. We booked massages instead. They were ok but my lady answered a phone call half way through and left (unprofessional).
Lastly, room needs maintenance. Bathtub shows layers peeling off, too poor to use.
