The resort is located at the end of road and the location is very silent and peaceful. It has lot of greenery. Many trees make it very cool place to stay. The rooms have wooden walls and ceiling. The flooring could also be in wood to give it a perfect look. They provide several good facilities like play area and spa. The meals in resort is not so good. The meals are repetitive and have no specialities. The food is also very costly for the price they ask. They help in arranging for holiday activities which is helpful for guests. They have a nice play are for kids and can sit around pool to enjoy sunbathing. Overall it was a nice stay for the price paid. But could have been better. Service was also very slow and not upto the mark.
The location, trees and forest background was good. Then furnishing in the room (402) was poor, in the toilet worse. The glass stand for toiletries
was fixed just over the wash basin , so that when we wash teeth and spit we do so directly on the glass stand (:. The restaurant is just 42 steps down to go and come up after eating(:. The sterling rip off is at the Spa.
Two tea spoons of cold un-medicated oil applied by a mouth-less personality, whom explains nothing even when asked and session starts 15 minutes late and ends 15 minutes earlier with a cold water bath. Good Value for Rs.2000/- The second sterling ripoff is the extra bed - which should be a folding iron cot with an 8" bed- but is a 4' narrow bed thrown on the floor for a small fee of Rs.1775/- Value for money indeed.
The bathroom had an odor. We left the door open in the hope that the odor would go away but to no avail. Please make sure there is not a serious issue such as a sewer leak.
WiFi connection in the room required an Indian cell phone number. The staff tried to help us by using their local phones but this didn't work for all 3 people in our group
The room and shower were very old and not up to date. There was a time limit for hot water shower - and even within those limits the shower wasn't working. The Christmas gala dinner was extremely disappointing. For the price, it is definitely not recommended.
Beautiful property with excellent food. The property gives the true forest vibe and the wooden decor makes it better. This resort is centrally located and has a very warm and welcoming staff. Highly recommended for the jungle feel.
Hotel in need of improvement.Nice place.Askfor a r
Good location and view Monkey on the trees.
Attention they had tried to be nice and tis is appreciated. They gave me an upgrade room with A/C since the hotel only have 2 rooms withA/C. THANKS FOR IT..When is hot during the day you will need it .The rest of the day is nice and cool in January.Hot water takes around 20 minutes for warm up and there is a waste of water and our time.
We call because we lost power in the half of a cottage and nobody come in one day.
The hotel had better days,It need to be painted and pay attention
Our Driver was given REALLY HARD TIME TO GET INTO THE HOTEL TO PICK US UP THE LAST DAY even he was seen the 2 previous day and that WAS NOT GOOD.
This hotel can be good again with attention.
Nice location although one needs an auto(5 -10 mins drive) to reach town and any other place. Shower was unrepairable. Restaurant has only south indian dishes except 2 non veg dishes in buffet. Overall a nice resort.
We stayed here for 3 nights & i cant recommend this hotel enough. We had a cosy log cabin beside the pool. Lots of TV channels & free Wifi.
We were totally spoiled by the staff.
They could not have been more helpful. Extremely friendly & hospitable.
The pool is excellent.
Food is excellent
A little haven to chill out for a few days & do some safari.
Loved it here.
Worst 3 star resort ever. very poor DONT STAY HERE
Worst 3 star resort EVER. Filthy pool with a glowing film, whole pool booked out for private party, no alcohol served anywhere in resort, bad service, rude manager, dirty sheets didnt even get changed. we were so tired from driving that we just got there and passed out.
restaurant is ok / average. breakfast was average. Wifi only works in reception. DONT STAY HERE unless your desperate. Security guard yelled at my husband for no reason as he is indian and I am australian he assumed he was my driver. No consideration or hospitality skills at all.
everyone is rude.
Very basic hotel with poor service and lazy staff. Food was rather average. Room service was very poor. Phone in the room wasn't working. No ac in room only a fan.
Awful!
Overpriced, everything was old damp damaged and tired. The pool was disgusting. We had to wait 30 minutes to get our room despite arriving well after check in.
The sheets were stained. Blinds broken. We changed rooms, the bedding was damp again, bedding still stained.
Terrible arrive and experience.
Very nice place, very near to Periyar Tiger Reserve, few monkeys were entering into hotel as its on border of forest, very clean and clam, everything natural, overall pleasant stay :)
Faded glory. Great setting but desperately needs cleaning. Could be something really special especially if the hop on hop off ferry service was organised and advertised at the various jetties.
Was assigned room 305 towards the back of the property (this shares a boundary with Periyar Reserve). This room small and kind of difficult to reach as there is plenty of stairs to tackle. Bird calls (eerie at times) float across and can be a tad disconcerting. All wood paneled room and cozy in appearance. Housekeeping forgot to refurbish room supplies and this was "promptly" done the next day....guess one could blame it on the weekend rush. Property has a pool with hammocks and seating around it and plenty of entertainment for families with kids, though some are pay-and-use options (archery, motor toy cars etc).
A handy base to see the Wildlife Sanctuary.
Polite , friendly but basic stuffy rooms.
I can recommed the option of a later start, jeep ride and for hike for 2 hours with a guide.
This beats the rush at 5:30 departure for a boat trip and queues.
We actually saw more monkeys at the Hotel than the day in the park.
The hike with a guide was just great fun and grreat for a family.
