Staff were so welcoming and helpful, really made the stay. Excellent location and whilst some aspects in the corridor to my were a little tired the room itself was clean and very comfortable. The food was good and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I spoke to several returning guests. I'll definitely be back.

A lovely hotel in an ideal location for visiting the Lake District. Within walking distance of several walks and Derwent Water jetty from where you can catch the ferry to points around the lake and to Keswick. Sofia and the staff made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was good, with plenty of selection. The restaurant also had good food.

We had a fantastic room. Worth the extra for superior double. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Lovely bar and dinner menu with lots of seating inside and out. Great views of the lake. Lots of parking for guests and good walking path straight out of the hotel.

Room was fine with what looked like a recently refurbished bathroom. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was beautifully presented and of à high quality. Would definitely stay here again

Lovely staff, very friendly. Good room, comfy and clean. Breakfast quite good. There was an EV charger which we wanted to use however there was no sign so non EV cars blocked the space. A clear sign would be good! Lovely setting with great views . Bus stops every half hour a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

We had a wonderful time at the Mary Mount. Our room was lovely, well furnished and clean. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was the first time we had used the Keswick launch which we boarded just a minutes walk from the hotel. We used this all day and didn't have to drive the car anywhere. Breakfast and evening meal were excellent. We will definitely be back.

Quite a small room which didnt bother us and the view was to die for. It was a very hot weekend whichade the room stifling through the night even with the windows open. A small fan would resolve this on the odd occasion we get nice weather. The location, food and views were amazing and the staff chatty and helpful. We will definitely revisit

Great Hotel with Private Free Parking near to lovely walks and close to Keswick town. Breakfast Great choice and Evening meal lovely too. Stayed in the Lodge which was Private house with two bedrooms, huge lounge with three settees. Huge shower with products. Coffee/tea in each bedroom and in the hall. Small fridge in lounge. Great for friends to join you.

The Mary Mount is a lovely hotel that is in the PERFECT spot - the lower end of Derwentwater and right at one of the ferry stops! The scenery is remarkable! The staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The only complaint I would have is the room we stayed in had an uncomfortable bed and was a bit noisy in the evening when people were having a late dinner or drinks. The walls dont keep the noise out. Other than that I loved the stay and would stay again but probably get a different room, requesting one far from the the kitchen dining area.

I have been staying here for decades mainly because of its location. It is a truly beautiful property but unfortunately it is in desperate need of a refurbishment. Paint off the walls , worn carpets and generally in need of some TLC. On the positive side at least the people are still really accommodating , professional and friendly. Hopefully the property itself will get an update.

The Mary Mount is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location on Derwentwater. The staff at the hotel are brilliant and the customer service is excellent. The food at the hotel is plentiful tasty and well presented. The hotel is looking a little tired in places and could benefit from a lick of paint and some slight modernisation. That being said the rooms are warm clean and comfortable and we would definitely return

Clean hotel which is ideal for anyone fell walking or just walking down the Borrowdale valley, wonderful views out to Derwent water , gardens well maintained with a lovely outdoor area next to the river, hotel as squeeky floor boards but only due to the age of the building so can’t be helped, breakfast buffet well stocked with decent quality foods, just a couple of negatives, the extraction fan in our bathroom, room 26 was not working and in the downstairs men’s toilets a strong urine smell both of which could easily be improved. I would definitely stay again

Friendly staff, great food and a fantastic location for Catbells. Unfortunately, our first night was disappointing, with a blocked toilet, dirty surfaces and significant noise from other guests until around 3am. Our second night was much better, so hopefully this was just an isolated experience.

Dirty towel on first day and radiator was full on dirt not be cleaned ever. Staff had no brush to clean it just ripped the outside and left the dirt behind. Walls had scuff marks and chips out of walls from furniture. Put in room next to staff with noises from room next door think it 27 and beer cans in the windows. Staff looking through my window when I was sat in bed one day. Felt unsafe. Menu - prices not clear and had poor stomach after having the curry and felt over priced when charged after meal when checking out. Pillows had lumps in and not comfortable to sleep on and bed hard again having to request replacement. Floors creaking when people moved from upstairs which disturbed my sleep. Found dirt in salt container in restaurant and also noticed dirt in radiators through the room. Left feeling ripped off and stressed and dissatisfied. If you want a nice experience of the Lakes I would suggest trying a different hotel.
