My husband and I stayed at the hotel for the Essence Festival. About a 20-minute drive from New Orleans. The staff was amazing. Definitely a good stay for the price and breakfast was amazing.
When I arrived at the hotel there where bugs everywhere on the outside of the hotel. I don't know if it was because it was so secluded but that was a no go for me. Once I made it pass the bugs to check in to received my key to my room, the key didn't work. I had to walk down 3 times for my key to actually work. I was frustrated at that point and didn't wont to stay. Then once inside the room it smelled like mildew. I was fed up and checked out medially. The only thing that was good was the staff.
I was charged more when I arrived. The air conditioner in our first room was horrible, we got switched to another room only to have the same problem. The towels smell of oil. The only working ice machine is located on the first floor. The property is located far outside of Belle Chasse.
My stay was great and enjoyable. The breakfast bar was delicious and lobby was well kept and clean. Im ready to book my next stay for next year Mardi Gras holiday. I encourage everyone to give this hotel a try.
I made reservations For this hotel/motel because on their website it says âPet friendlyâ no where on the did it state that they didnât accept felines, mind you- I tell the lady (lady I spoke to through Expedia) over the phone that I have 1 cat and 1 dog and she just carries on. I donât even think she knew they didnât allow cats... Well I get there the next day after driving 7 hours (with a 26â U-Haul, my car hitched behind it and my husband with the other car to find out they werenât cat friendly. I was exhausted from driving. I couldnât even think about being angry or upset. I was thinking about how itâs almost 9 pm and wanted sleep not just for myself but for my tired husband, my micro- Pomeranian, and my Calico cat. The lady at the front desk showed no care at all and told me about their policy and sat back down. I get it, at work I follow my companyâs policies to a T. But she couldâve made an effort as to showing maybe just a bit of empathy. But it is what it is, not everywhere I go will have good customer service.
Disappointed Customer
The location of the hotel stinks! There is nothing around there. The breakfast was horrible. There are zero amenities, unless you want to to count the one grill out of the 2 that worked. There was one cleaning lady that was super nice and the front desk ladies were nice too.
