Asked for ice and received it 4.5 hours later, floor boards move and pinch your feet, towels were thin, snagged and old. Zero artwork on walls and remote control didnât control the volume of the TV. The shower took 15 minutes to get hot water when water is scarce. Just very low effort to make it nice.
We had a great 4th of July with our dog. It was very quiet and we lived that Julian Cidery was walking distant. Great restaurant on site as well, Jeremy's on the Hill.
I called the desk because the water wasn't warm enough to take a shower and was informed that if I give it 8-10 minutes it would get hot. Seemed odd but the water did in fact get plenty hot eventually! Room was clean and you don't talk to anyone to check in or out.
The shower soap and shampoo dispenser weren't functioning very well. I also wish there was an additional blanket available. All other aspects of the room were quite satisfactory.
The parking was easy and there were nearby restaurants and pubs. It was clean and well-maintained. It was easy to check in. The only downside is that location-wise, despite being close to Julian, it definitely isnât walking distance and thereâs no real public transit in Julian.
I would not stay here again. Room was pretty clean, but there were fleas in it. There were no towels and no hot water. The pool just outside the room doors is dug up, there are mounds of rubble piled around. Keurig coffee maker had water standing in it, rather nasty. There was only one other customer at the place. I texted the contact given for assistance during our stay, got no response.
